Vote NO on the Taxpayer Deception Act

This is a GREAT day for Californians as the Supreme Court REMOVES the Taxpayer Deception Act from the November 2024 ballot.

Teachers oppose the Taxpayer Deception Act because it jeopardizes our children's health and education by diverting funds from necessary upgrades to school safety, security, and fire systems, as well as provide safe drinking water, fix deteriorating gas lines, and tackle issues like asbestos and mold. These are only SOME of the risks our children would face.

Many of us in California know someone in the film and TV industry. From sound engineers to talent to stagehands, we all know someone. The Taxpayer Deception Act would devastate CA’s film and TV industries, slashing thousands of jobs and moving entertainment to other states. Jobs and entire industries are on the line because wealthy developers don’t want to pay their fair share. We must stop this dangerous measure.
