General McCasland (ret.) *Ungraduate degree from the Airforce Academy *Graduate degree MIT *Worked for the airforce in a many positions including procurement and as the Commander of an airforce research lab at Wright-Patterson Airforce Base. *He retired 13 years ago, yes, 13 years. *He currently is employed by Applied Technology Associates as a Director and serves as a Board of Trustees at Riverside Research. Facts: *He left his home in Albuquerque, NM 2/27/26 between 11:10 a.m. and 12:04 p.m. wearing hiking boots. *He was an avid hiker and knew the Sandia foothills. *He took his .38 caliber gun. *He took his wallet. *He didn't take his cell or his GPS watch. **He didn't take his glasses. *A Silver Alert was issued based on a "mental fog" he displayed prior to leaving. For those who were prescription glasses, you know you are lost without them. You can't see. Objects become a blur. That's why you wear glasses. They are the first thing you put on in the morning and the last thing you take off at night. He left them. Why? Because he knew he would not need them. He took a revolver. Revolvers are reliable at close range but inaccurate at distances especially if you are not a marksman. A .38 caliber is not a large caliber and you would have no business shooting at anything without your glasses. General McCasland, I believe will be found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His actions weren't by accident. He went to a quiet place in the hills he loved with his revolver and ID. There was no "hit" on him because 13 years ago he worked for the Airforce. No aliens took him. No one stalked him into the foothills because of something he knew. That "fog" he was in speaks volumes. What was the proximal event? We don't know. We never know what is going on deep within the minds of those who have lost hope. He took his wallet so he could be easily identified, understanding what wildlife does to a body. Finding him is like finding a needle in a haystack, only worse. Did he confide in his wife or friends his favorite place in those foothills? Does anyone know? Sadly, another avid hiker will some day likely find his wallet and perhaps some remains. This is my opinion based on experience and facts known. Yes, I am aware that Monica Reza, an aerospace engineer and civilian employee who never worked for the Airforce disappeared hiking about a year ago from the Los Angeles National Forest. Ms. Reza was with a companion at the time whose story seems to be sketchy and has inconsistencies. That case was investigated as a homicide. I would look at the companion closely. The companion saw her last and investigators have only their word as to what happened to Ms. Reza. I don't believe there were hits put out on these engineers for old information related to aliens. That makes no sense. I pray General McCasland and Ms. Reza are found soon. P.S. There are 600 to 1,000 hikers that go missing each year. Imagine if we looked at commonalities between them. I bet we could find dozens of folks with similar occupations. Statistics don't support that McCasland amd Reza were targets of some massive, murderous conspiracy. Reza was a materials engineer and rock scientist. #Missing #GeneralMcCasland
