I have seen the comparison between ROH library and TNA library in terms of value, But the truth is TNA’s library is exponentially more valuable than ROH. TNA has been nationally televised for over 25 years, toured multiple countries and is still a more recognisable brand. That happens. Matches were great as was Ospreay/Swerve but crowd came across as dead on TV. Painfully so. Too bad if it wasn't and just bad micing.

@JustAlyxCentral I thought they'd do this to swerve us. That the bad guys would be about to lose and one or two other people like a Wardlow or a Killer Kross would show and MJF would say idiots this is my real team. They didn't need this last night but it was good, show was good.

Now, normally I would not be a fan of AEW giving away an advertised pay-per-view main event two weeks before the actual show, even if the non PPV version is not taking place inside a steel cage. It just feels like a Vince McMahon thing to do honestly. But I'm going to let this one slide for two reasons: First, I don't see the 12-man tag match closing AEW Forbidden Door 2026 anyway. I fully expect Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland to headline the show, and rightfully so. Second, I believe the steel cage match is going to be significantly more violent and intense than what we got on Dynamite. The steel cage stipulation raises the stakes and gives AEW an opportunity to make the pay-per-view match feel bigger and more important. So I'm not going to give Tony Khan too much grief for this one. That said, I would strongly recommend AEW not make a habit of giving away ADVERTISED pay-per-view matches before the actual pay-per-view. The only time it really works is when the first match meaningfully adds to the story and makes the rematch feel even bigger. In this case, I think they got away with it.

@archaeochron Tape library and a spot on AMC that they'll push hard and turn into a decent ratings grab. They got them the TV spot and let them fail do they could buy them. Said this from day 1 but people wanted to believe it was something else.

I don't understand why WWE would WANT to buy TNA. How will they get a return on their investment?

I don't believe Kanyon was fired for being gay. I do believe rumors of it at the time did him no favors. Gay or straight, he was not someone Vince would push. Granted, this is years ago, but saying Kanyon wasn't any good was a terrible thing to say and was completely untrue.

I can't imagine him leaving AEW anytime soon. I do believe though that during his next contract he will break through and become a part of the main event mix in AEW
