@AaronBastani Is it? World is heading a return towards the might makes right approach, more and more countries will abide by this. And gradual power corruption brain rot over time is also the norm.

According to russian sources Ilya Remeslo has been "hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital". He will probably commit "suicide" there.

@ZacksJerryRig Ultimately people are still deep asleep, this is just a cold shower of incompetence. Authoritarianism that comes after will be much better at murdering its own citizens, borderline illegal military actions and garnering support from it. Destructive actions will be properly hidden

I'm glad people are waking up to the fact that Trump lied about everything to get into office again. Now it's time to realize that he will say and do *anything* to stay in office. January 6th was a trial run.

Initial Super Heavy V3 and Starbase Pad 2 activation campaign complete, wrapping up several days of testing that loaded cryogenic fuel and oxidizer on a V3 vehicle for the first time. While the 10-engine static fire ended early due to a ground-side issue, we saw successful startup on all installed Raptor 3 engines. Next up: preparing the booster for a 33-engine static fire

Falcon 9 now in parking orbit. There are now 10020 Starlinks in orbit (although 25 of them are still attached to the Falcon 9 for another 50 min or so, until the stage's circularization burn and satellite deployment).

A 2.5-second rocket flight that heralded decades of discovery in space! Today marks 100 years since the first successful test of a liquid-fueled rocket. Robert H. Goddard's achievement would have appeared unimpressive by most measures: His rocket flew just 41 feet in the air, landing in a nearby cabbage patch. Liquid-propelled rocketry has been the backbone of spaceflight ever since. 📷 by Esther Goddard on March 16, 1926 (Clark University Archive)

@mcrs987 Was thinking the initial flash and bangs being an igniter start process of some sort and the Starwars-esque sound sec after being an igniter ramp up for a following powerhead spin start.

Enough information now to see a potential caveat of the startup process. If you look real close at the video of the firing today you'll see an initial small flash about a second before the engines actually light, we saw this during the ignitor test yesterday as well (I'll link it in the replies). The timing is right about the same as the tiny little spinstart discharge we have seen from videos at Mcgregor. (the video in this post). The interesting thing here is obviously that on Pad 2 this discharge is igniting on it's own. Not sure why it is igniting like this but it does confirm the usage of gaseous oxygen and gaseous methane to spin up their respective turbines (opposed to nitrogen previously used on R2) given that flash is even possible. Go figure that fire suppression is really needed now

STATIC FIRE: Multi angle replay as Booster 19 fires up, While it was a short test, potentially an abort, this was the first time for Pad 2, the first time for V3, and the first time Raptor 3's have fired up together. @NASASpaceflight livestream: youtube.com/watch?v=z83PHp…

@mcrs987 Could it just be due to the new ignition sequence as opposed to that and GOX and GCH4 being used for spin start?

This app isn't properly embedding the post for some stupid reason so it's just the link at the bottom. The ignitor test yesterday Can see the same distinct flash and it's audible thump before the actual whine of the new ignitors follows it. Just to be clear the flash you visually see isn't the ignitors themselves, just this discharge from spinup for whatever reason lighting. x.com/NASASpacefligh…

Booster 19 has performed its first static fire test on the new Launch Mount! Its difficult to determine how may engines were tested, but it appears to be at least 3. Plume exiting both sides of the trench means there is one on each side, and stronger plume on the east side suggest double the amount of engines on that side tested. 🎥: @NASASpaceflight
