Final “Who am I?” (As a reader) lesson with S1. With a bit of persuasion, lots of chat and some interesting examples EVERYONE saw themselves as readers and that’s exactly how it should be.

@jonnybid I used to ask pupils to create wordless ppts so they couldn't stand and read from the screen, but had the chance to practise their presenting skills. Sometimes, I'd suggest they could present in whatever way they liked except ppt. Oh the disbelief! The confusion! The horror 😱

Daughter has just finished her PowerPoint presentation ready for school tomorrow. Every page has swishing curtains, dissolving checkerboards, origami birds or rotating honeycomb. Her class are in for a visual treat. There's about three lines of information among the effects too.
