Additionally, while the weather has stabilized across much of the state, please continue to be vigilant and cautious. Remember to not approach any downed power lines and treat them as if they are energized.

After last night’s severe storms, OPUC continues to monitor recovery efforts, specifically power restoration. We know many residential and small business customers are still without power. If you have a power outage, please report it directly to your local distribution provider.

Today, Gov. @GregAbbott_TX expanded his disaster declaration by 85 counties to ensure communities can easily access state emergency resources during this winter weather event. Texans should continue monitoring weather & road conditions & heed warnings of local officials.

Be cautious of false information and entities impersonating ERCOT during this winter storm. ERCOT does not send text messages to share information on grid conditions. ERCOT communicates grid condition information through our official communication channels, including our website (ercot.com), Texas Advisory and Notification System (TXANS), Emergency Alerts, social media channels, and the ERCOT mobile app.
