We've had the honor of working with Mikhaylo Mykhailo Romanov of the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group. In a new blog post he describes prisoners who found themselves on Russian-occupied territories, which were then liberated by the Ukrainian army. blogs.helsinki.fi/gulagechoes/20…

Griner is in Russia’s harshest penal region, Mordovia. Prisoners say you haven’t really experienced Russian prison unless you’ve been there. The village she’s in was built as a Soviet prison camp town in 1931. Talking about it tonight on @CNN with @BrianToddCNN on @wolfblitzer.
