Three years ago, I was stuck Or I would say I felt stuck I had finished service and it seemed like nothing was moving in my life No Job No direction on what was next To crown it all, I was just served the hottest breakfast ever and it seemed like my world would end I had to go back helping my parents in the business they were doing I was doing this job for my parents in the university and to still came back to that same spot after school? It’s like I was moving in circles I tried to do a post graduate program, that one just parked one side Someone would show interest in marriage and when it came the time to take concrete decisions, they would slip off I remember praying against spritual husband one time Not that I thought I had one, but I just wanted to cover my bases Just in case I would come out and preach and do programs and I would go back in and cry To worsen it, all my peers that we had grown up together in church were getting settled one after the other I was doing chief bridesmaid and bridal train again and again Even though I was doing it with Joy, I kept getting the pity stares from people And I was getting the looks, the concerned looks from church people Being in a ministry that was public I was always before the eyes of people and the scrutiny was intense I remember one time , it was almost becoming difficult to go to church because I was tired of the pity looks “Miss fine social media woman, what’s up with you? Everybody has gone ahead and you’re still here?” I would serve my God diligently I wasn’t sure what was next —————————————————— The past six months of my life have seemed like 6 years Because A LOT has happened New marriage New Job New House New country New this New that When it was my time came, God compressed everything inside 6 months Everything has been happening with lightening speed and precision my head still reels when I analyze it God has said it is your time now and it’s been back to back to back to back miracles and provisions and progress I can’t recognize the woman I am Dear child of God I bring to you today a promise of RESTORATION That all the years that it seems the cankerworms have eaten, God will restore I know what it feels like to feel stuck I know the pain very well I see your messages in my inbox and I may not be able to reply you one by on But if you can see this, Please hold on to God Don’t stop serving Him Your TIME will come The Zeal of the Lord will make it happen If He did it for me, He will do your own too #womanengraced

This is such a touching moment. Watch video moment as Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie inspires a young 11-year-old girl writer who complained that, despite all her efforts, people often told her that her novel was not realistic. This is really beautiful 😍

So I’ve been thinking… A cultural chess party where everyone shows up in their full cultural attires. We play chess, learn, dance, serve proper Naija food and take fire pictures of people playing chess in their full regalia. We can start in Lagos and take this round the world.

This tweet here by TG Omori is why I tell people all the time, there are few medical problems in this world as mentally draining, financially destroying and life altering like kidney failure. Kidney failure will make you spend all your money, sell your properties, borrow money and in the end still kill you - except in a very few cases if you are fortunate to get a new kidney. Even with a new kidney, you may still die, penniless, in debt and in misery. I will never wish my enemies to have kidney failure. It’s one of the worst calamities that can befall a human being. Except you have battled kidney failure yourself, or you have seen firsthand at a close range someone suffer from it, you will have no clue how deadly and disastrous it is. Whatever you do, If you can read this tweet, Pls do all you can if you can, to never have kidney failure. I beg you all, especially young people, Whatever you can do, please kindly stay away from anything that can damage and destroy your kidneys. AVOID SMOKING of any kind. Whether it is cigarettes, shisha, weed or anything that pumps your system with smoke. AVOID EXCESS ALCOHOL use. Alcohol should only be for moderate infrequent use on special occasions if you have to. Alcohol must never become like water that you drink everyday. ALWAYS DRINK AT LEAST 2.5litres of water daily. It helps to hydrate your system and flush your kidneys naturally keeping them in a good state. RUN AWAY AND AVOID street herbal drinks especially the local unlicensed unregulated ones that are just mixed inside someone’s house and sold to you. That “strong erection” “back pain” “system flusher” drink sold to you in traffic to make you last in bed and feel strong will lead you to your grave faster than you think. MONITOR YOUR BLOOD SUGAR every 3-6months. Undetected and uncontrolled diabetes will damage your kidneys and ruin your kidneys. If you check your random blood sugar and you get >11.1 mmol/l, pls see a doctor. You can buy a blood sugar machine at any chemist near you. MONITOR YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE every 3-6months. Undetected and uncontrolled hypertension and high blood pressure will damage and destroy your kidneys. If you measure your blood pressure and you get a reading more than 140/90, pls see a doctor. You can buy a blood pressure machine at a chemist near you. AVOID SELF MEDICATION when you are not well. It is not every little pain that needs painkillers and it is not every diarrhea that needs antibiotics. Every time you take un-prescribed medication especially when you do it repeatedly, you put your kidneys and your liver at a dangerous risk. It’s not everything that needs a tablet or a syrup medication. You are using your own hands to destroy your own kidneys when you self medicate. MONITOR YOUR WEIGHT please. There is NO real medical benefit to being overweight. Obesity puts you at risk of heart disease, heart attack, high blood pressure, kidney damage, kidney failure and sudden death. As much as you can and as far as you can, pls kindly go to gym, eat less junk, eat better diet and do what you can to stay fit and healthy. WATCH YOUR FAMILY. If you have family members who have developed or died from kidney problems, it means the risk is high for you too. In terms of genetics, there is not much you can do, but in terms of the other things I’ve raised above, pls ensure you do them and stay healthy. On a final note. People with kidney failure deserve our empathy and compassion because sometimes in life you can do everything right and still suffer a medical calamity like kidney failure. I hope you learnt something from this little post I’ve just made. Pls kindly help share so that others can also learn something as well. You can help save someone’s life. My heart goes out to TG, And I pray that God will help him through this difficult time of his life.

To every girl who is considering getting married, you CAN absolutely keep your name after marriage and I think you should. 4 years married now, I have relocated, had a baby, held joint account, travelled solo with my child and not one issue. Don’t let anyone lie to you.

Just imagine this madness. They are about to use executive rascality to destroy another young person’s life because she refused to be a govt asskisser. Nigerians need to come to the aid of this young nurse. Don’t allow these evil psychopathic maniacs destroy her life. Pls lend your voice!
