This is why he made up the bullshit story about her begging for a photo with him. Because a strong woman gave him what for. That's all it boils down to. So he lied to make himself feel better and created a diplomatic incident. Misogynistic deluded narcissist lying pig.

Hundreds of Ukrainian drones overwhelmed Moscow’s layered air defenses on June 17-18. Russia claims it downed 555+ UAVs that night alone, yet multiple struck the Kapotnya oil refinery for the second time erupting massive fires. This wasn’t luck. It was engineered saturation. The math tells the story. Ukraine launched massive coordinated waves, mixing armed drones with decoys that carry adjustable radar signatures to mimic real threats. Russian systems, optimized for fewer high-value missiles or aircraft, faced dozens arriving simultaneously from different angles. Even a 90%+ interception rate (per some Russian milbloggers) still left enough penetrators to hit the target. This breakthrough built on years of preparation. Ukrainian forces systematically targeted Russian air defense radars, launchers, and electronic warfare modules across multiple sectors. By hitting dispersed sites and forcing Russia to spread its best systems thin, Kyiv created exploitable gaps even around the heavily defended capital region. The provided inage shows how air defense locations are roughly 5 to 10 miles apart. For reference, an air defense can see drones at 100 ft about 5 miles away due to the radar horizon. This leaves at most three overlapping systems over a single target with roughly 4-32 interceptors available for use, easily overwhelmed. Flight paths were meticulously planned — sometimes J-shaped routes that circled defenses before final approach. Advanced Ukrainian drones, including faster jet-powered variants alongside propeller-driven models, complicated tracking. Decoys drew fire while real munitions pressed through. Going back to our map, buildings can be used as cover, although one drone hit a crane while flying low. The result: visible “oil rain,” refinery fires, and all four major Moscow airports grounding flights. Specific damage at Kapotnya included the combined oil refining unit, a secondary processing unit, and tank farm. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin acknowledged strikes on the refinery and minor damage elsewhere. Russia’s Defense Ministry reported broad intercepts, but geolocated footage and official admissions confirmed real effects deep inside the capital’s defensive bubble. Compare the scale: Ukraine fired over 1,000 drones toward Russia in the broader operation that day. Even partial success against the most protected targets demonstrates a repeatable capability. Low-cost mass + prior attrition of defender systems + adaptive routing = a template that exposes vulnerabilities in legacy air defense doctrine. These aren’t one-off raids. They’re the product of sustained tactical evolution. Ukraine is proving it can impose real costs on Russia’s rear areas despite heavy defenses. Full details and context in the original report. As expected, the enemy did not simply sit back and watch its logistics come under attack. They are now attempting to patrol supply routes with interceptor drones supported by radar coverage. This is exactly what a war of technology looks like. For every solution they develop, we must develop one of our own. The side that adapts faster wins.

❗️American senators from both parties (Tim Kaine, John Cornyn, Chris Coons, Roger Wicker, Chuck Grassley, and Sheldon Whitehouse) have introduced a bill that would allow Ukraine to use frozen Russian assets (5–7 billion dollars in the United States) to purchase weapons. The legislation expands the existing REPO provisions, which currently permit these funds to be used only for humanitarian aid and reconstruction. The new funding would not require any spending from the U.S. budget.

Today marks my 4th year volunteering in Ukraine. For those who don’t know me, I’m a British guy who left a quiet life in Spain after a good career in publishing, and understandably never abandoned our guys on the front. Since then I've dedicated every day without fail to supporting our defenders. None of this would have happened without our dedicated volunteer team and the generous support of so many kind people worldwide. Together we’ve delivered vehicles, medical supplies and thousands of drones to the front, all thanks to your help. On this anniversary, my main wish (apart from victory) is that more people discover our small, transparent mission to support Ukraine’s military without personal gain. ❗If you believe in what we do, please tweet why you follow @frontlinekit. Every new voice helps Ukraine. This afternoon I even managed to steal a few hours at the beach after a very busy few weeks, we’ve just delivered another new huge batch of unjammable Starlink drones built by our non-stop team. I'm sure they’ll make a real difference soon. For now I’m enjoying a swim with my dog, time with my wonderful partner, and the sunset over a beautiful Lviv. Glory to our Heroes. Glory to Ukraine. 🇺🇦

Britain has tested long-range weapons that are expected to be supplied to Ukraine and “will not let Moscow get bored” The systems are reported to carry a warhead of about 250 kg and reach speeds of over 370 miles per hour. The missiles are capable of striking targets at a distance of around 480 km, according to The Telegraph. London says the new weapons will complement the Storm Shadow missiles already delivered to Ukraine. The first deliveries could take place within a year.

As I’ve said many times, for Georgia the Soviet Union was Russia. How exactly are Georgians supposed to view Russia as a friend when Russia has attacked us four times in the last 30 years, occupies around 20% of our historical and internationally recognized territory, has caused more than 30,000 deaths and over 300,000 refugees, and when, during the Soviet era, around 400,000 Georgians—roughly 12% of the population, including an estimated 30% of young men—were killed while much of the nation’s intellectual and political elite was exterminated?

It is time to call out Karol Nawrocki for exactly what he is: a useful idiot whose actions systematically benefit Russia and other enemies of Europe. Stripping Volodymyr Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle is a major symbolic blow to relations between Poland and Ukraine. Nawrocki claims that only trusted individuals should hold Poland's highest honor, but his implementation of this rule is a complete joke. If this was a matter of actual conviction, Gerhard Schröder would have lost his honor for his ties to Moscow. He is a real enemy of Poland. Instead, Schröder gets a pass while working against the security of Europe. Nawrocki also ignores the historical enemies of the state. He has not touched the honors of Russian imperial marshal Ivan Paskevich. Catherine the Great and Tsar Nicholas I remain completely safe from his review. This proves his goal is simply to single out Ukraine. Dividing Europe over historical grievances while the country faces an existential invasion is exactly what Putin wants. Nawrocki's campaign already signaled this direction when he brought the famous Romanian Russian asset George Simion on stage. He followed that up by endorsing Viktor Orbán, a literal Kremlin Trojan horse, in the Hungarian elections. Nawrocki and the PiS establishment have shown that their domestic culture war takes priority over genuine strategic threats. He will always favor Russian proxies over anti-Russian liberals if it helps his political branding. He is an idiot who is deeply useful to Moscow, and his presidency is actively weakening the continent. The Polish electorate made a pathetic and historical error by electing him

This guy collected every local law in America and put them in a single database. 2.2 million laws. This might seem to you like some nerds side project, and while it is technically, it is also much more important than you think. Historically, whenever anything is made transparent to the voting bloc it undergoes radical change. Every. Single. Time. To the extent governments work overtime to make things opaque. (And I expect that to happen to this dataset too very soon, in a thousand different ways.) The internet makes everything including politics “global/local” and local laws won’t escape. It’s hard to understand right now how profound this will be, but we live in interesting times for sure. Thank you Joe, and all the other nerds who do stuff like this because they are personally curious and they can. This is how history moves forwards
Joe Barrow@barrowjoseph

New paper: every law in America is technically public. But not really, until now! With @DenisPeskoff at UC Berkeley, we built a corpus of ~every publicly accessibly city and county law, and released a huge chunk of it! 2.2 million laws, you're (probably) covered in it! 🧵

🇫🇷 French journalist Erik Tegnér has been given a six-month suspended prison sentence and fined €30,000 after publishing an article about lawyers who specialize in defending illegal migrants against deportation. Tegnér named several immigration lawyers and identified their city of practice, arguing they profited from a “juicy business” funded by public legal aid. The court ruled that, despite not disputing the accuracy of the claims, the article’s accusatory tone exposed the lawyers to an indirect risk of harm and violated France’s Samuel Paty anti-doxxing law. Tegnér described the verdict as a “political misuse of the Samuel Paty law.” Follow: @europa

I never understood the Western fascination with Russia. I was a Soviet citizen and lived under that system. I’ve also lived in America and Europe. Compared with the West, Russia is a shithole in every practical, moral and political sense. What exactly are you admiring?

🇺🇦🌊✈️ Quellen: Militarnyi / Eurosatory Paris 2026 |

One of the most successful ideas Russia has exported is the notion that it has the right to decide the foreign policy of its neighbors. Think about it. Why should Russia have a veto over whether Georgia joins NATO? Or Ukraine. Or Moldova. Or anyone else. Are sovereign nations somehow Moscow’s property? That isn’t geopolitics. It’s colonialism dressed up as “security concerns.” Free nations choose their own alliances. Empires believe they choose for them.
