Inheritance Tax shouldn't even be a thing. Work hard all your life to leave your family something when you're gone, and the government goes and takes 40% of it's value 😂

@WFryer1 @DaleAC93 But that never works because the super wealthy have the money to invest in a legal team, the best accountants etc… meaning they usually circumvent the tax by clever loopholes. It’s the 99% that get squeezed like always.

@WorvellMichelle That’s such a shame, and so short sighted. My mother lodge picked The Trussel Trust as the charity of the year a few years ago and our donation got returned saying they didn’t want to be associated with Freemasons. Cutting your nose off to spite your face, much?!

Wow! Just had a call from the church to tell me that they no longer want to use my services to arrange the Christmas lunch in Buckingham as they can see I am connected to Freemasonry and they have a company policy not to deal with anyone connected to Freemasonry.

@thecraftbloke In my Surrey lodge it’s £41 for 4 courses plus cheese. In my lodge in Stamford, it’s £21 for 3 courses and cheese. I don’t think the £20 difference is worth the little bowl of sorbet personally 😂🙈

On average, I pay about £50 for the Festive Board of my Lodge. That includes starters, main, dessert, coffee/tea and wine. How much do you pay normally?

@neptune_lodge I wouldn't do it myself. One youngish guy in a lodge I visit wears a medium grey suit. I wouldn't even call it charcoal, it's very much 'grey' and I really dislike that. He isn't unable to afford a black suit. But it isn't 'dark' enough in my opinion. Stripes are for Provincial.
