Elon Musk said Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus will eventually account for most of the company’s value, shifting focus away from cars. Though vehicles made up 74% of Q2 revenue, sales and profits are slipping, and Musk urged investors to look toward robots and autonomous tech.
Tesla aims to scale Optimus to 1 million units annually within five years, with Optimus 3 prototypes set for release later this year. First unveiled in 2021, the robot is designed for factory and household tasks.
