But federal laws severely limit private citizens’ abilities to pay US government employees, and this is likely a reason Elon’s offer has been declined. While private citizens are free to donate as much as they want to the Treasury, the Constitution requires Congress to appropriate the funds prior to disbursement from the Treasury. Which they obviously haven’t done.

Other countries should be able to tariff our goods being sold in their countries? But you’re disappointed about US putting in tariffs on goods coming in from said countries that will compete with domestic businesses. Do you see why foreign goods were cheaper? Because they weren’t tariffed. We need to make our own good in USA and make them compete with us. Not the other way around. American made goods should not be more expensive than imported goods.

@gorilla_rape SCOTUS has handed Trump vital victories on practically all of the cases that reach the high court. The tariff ruling, while disappointing, allowed him to issue the tariffs through other statutes making them stronger. Remain hopeful.
