I’m tired of surface level takes A recent five hour conversation with the author of 'The Weekly Insight' and long talks with @cryptoleon served as the catalyst. We touched on the nuances of the global economy and the geopolitical affairs affecting us all. It motivated me to step up my content creation, share more > Deep dive research > Thought process > Decision making I’m not here to sell you a dream. I’m here to share my thought process, my investments, and my worldview, and to hold myself accountable to it. I’ve asked @StarPlatinum_ to join me in launching a weekly newsletter. I want to build this with a good friend, similar to how @Cryptoinsightuk does it. No shills. No bs. Just the raw process of how we see the world and where we’re putting our money. No call to action, no claiming to be experts. Just two humble investors trying to make a buck and sharing what we find along the way.

its crazy to me that you can onramp into crypto for ~free, then use stablecoins to DCA into stocks, and then borrow against those stocks, 24/7 globally. its easy to overlook just how far DeFi has come in the past few years, and hard to imagine how big we get from here.

With everything happening around Sam Altman This still has no answer. Suchir Balaji was one of the key researchers behind early ChatGPT systems. - He worked at OpenAI from 2020 to 2024. - He said the company was violating copyright laws. - He said the entire model was trained on protected data. - He was ready to testify. On November 26, 2024 He was found dead in his San Francisco apartment. Official ruling: suicide, case closed. But the details don’t sit right. Signs of struggle, bruises, the apartment in disarray. His bags still unpacked. Interviews scheduled for the following days. His family rejected the ruling immediately. Months later Elon Musk said “He was murdered.” He repeated it publicly, multiple times. Two versions of the story. One official, one unanswered.

i was here in the last bear market. this is what you can do now to get ahead: (if you only do one thing: write and build your brand now) 1. write and publish consistently. the algorithm rewards early. compounding starts day one. 2. document your systems. what you build becomes a tutorial. what you learn becomes a course. 3. build an audience before you need it. network during the crash. monetize after the flip. 4. run weekly experiments. test tools, stacks, workflows. the ones that survive become your edge. 5. learn the business side. building is 20pct of the game. sales and distribution win. 6. automate what repeats. set up agents for research, drafting, scheduling. let them compound. 7. study competitors closely. their failures are your education. their wins are your roadmap. 8. capture everything you learn. notes, logs, lessons. knowledge compounds faster than money. 9. write about your tools specifically. naming tools in hooks drives 30x more reach. 10. find one person to learn from deeply. study everything they made. then improve on it. this is your time to make things happen.

This reminds me of Venus and the BNB Bridge hack liquidation in 2023. Lazarus hacked BNB Chain bridge for ~$560M in Oct 2022. They deposited 900K BNB collateral on Venus and borrowed $150M in stablecoins to later launder it. Aave/Compound etc need to adjust the oracle price to liquidate the hacker but Venus just waited for BNB to dump naturally until liquidation price reached. They waited for almost a year! Problem is that $150M liquidated organically by 'market' alone put FUD on BNB price so Venus whitelisted BNB Chain core team as the only liquidator. rsETH can't dump naturally so DeFi United needs to adjust the price manually. I also wonder who is the liquidator for rsETH? Is it DeFi United? Venus just had BNB Core team themselves back then.

The Ethereum vs Nvidia comparison is so stupid and pointless. As if it proves crypto is dead and AI is the only play now. It doesn't. Yeah no shit NVDA outperformed ETH since 2021. But the money you could've made across the broader crypto during that time is 10x higher. Think about it. Since 2021, we've had NFTs, SocialFi, memecoins, InfoFi, and several other major metas. Countless opportunities to make generational wealth and change your life. Crypto is still the place to be, no other industry like it

HOOT: Diego Martin, CEO of Yellow Capital, says DeFi security may be at a dead end after a string of April exploits on Drift Protocol, Kelp DAO and Volo wiped out hundreds of millions in user funds, renewing focus on structural risks across decentralized finance.

DeFi shouldn't require a leap of faith Most yield is just a circular trap of dilutive token emissions. Altura breaks the cycle by generating ~20% APY through actual market activity: delta neutral market making, funding arbitrage, and physical gold. By bridging on chain liquidity with real world commodity spreads, they offer yield that is uncorrelated to crypto price action. It’s insured, traceable, and verified every 15 minutes via ZK proofs. @alturax is scaling fast, with TVL now at $15.5 million. This is a great deep dive article into Altura.

Funniest part of the metaverse is that it actually played out perfectly. It’s just that nobody got rich off the otherside & these onchain worlds. We live online, we work online, we date online, we fight online. Entire industries, economies, subcultures exist purely on screens. Everybody lives in their own little world now, and those worlds are algorithms, each one a custom built reality with a population of one. It just happened on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, not on chain, not in one world where you buy avatars.
