Andddd we are live. I'm so excited to introduce you to Shaping Charlotte, a podcast starring myself and my awesome friend @Tesho13. This "season" (are we calling it that?) we will be discussing the upcoming transit referendum – it's impact on your wallet and your neighborhood.

While I did not file to run this year for council or mayor, I am committing RIGHT NOW to a 2027 run, when I see less incumbency as an obstacle. So expect my face in way more places over the next 24 months and I hope to see you at the polls in 2027.

As the heatwave continues and people head to the pool, a very important point about drowning - the movies get it wrong. In real life, drowning can be silent. There's no splashing, waving, or yelling. That's why you have to always watch kids at the pool.

Hey @Uber - I walked outside this morning within 4 mins of my pre-planned arrival time, told my driver I needed to grab sunglasses out of my car and then would grab my bags inside but he could start the trip - he said ok, so I went back inside. He then immediately cancelled 😡

This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won. To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. 98% of votes are expected to be counted in North Carolina tonight. When the polls close at 7:30, the first results that will post are the mail ballots. At 7:30, county election boards are able to close out their early voting tabulators and start processing and posting the in person early voting results. Election Day votes will be transported to each BOE as well. General timeline: 7:30: Polls close. 7:30- 9:30: Counties report to the Dashboard results of early voting and absentee ballots received before Election Day. 7:30-9:30: Precinct poll workers hand-deliver Election Day results to county board of elections offices. 8:30- 1 am: Counties report Election Day precinct results to the Dashboard. Reporting continues until all Election Day unofficial results are posted.
