5/10 Iris's 1st egg arrived 5/4 at 16:20 MDT. The 2nd egg arrived on 5/7 at 18:17. 3 days, 1 hour, and 57 minutes separated them. Iris's 3rd egg just may be coming soon. Do your calculations & reply to this tweet with your guess when Iris will lay her third egg. #HellgateOsprey

@HellgateOsprey He's actually been sitting on the egg for quite awhile. Iris has been screaming at him non-stop.

16:18, 5/7 An early dinner for Iris. NG2 brings in a huge fish. There is a slight fish-o-war, and of course, Iris took the spoils. She will have a very full crop when she returns. And NG2 may have a second helping. #HellgateOsprey

@HellgateOsprey NG just brought a stick to the nest. I love NG, but he is so clumsy around the eggie when bringing sticks in. Makes me nervous!

07:43, 5/7 Iris returns to her throne in all her glory. She soon takes over incubation, and NG2 flies. #HellgateOsprey

11:20, 5/6 NG2 brings in a whole Rainbow Trout for Iris. Seeing her about to leave with it, he has second thoughts. Iris maintains control of the fish and uses her "wing shield" to lift off with the it. #HellgateOsprey

@heferca @HellgateOsprey This was very concerning. He had that large stick so close to the egg. Yikes!

@HellgateOsprey NG2 added short thick stick , kept eye on sky ,flew off 4:54 pm. NG2 back landed on Iris ,no mating . He reacted to something below 5:12pm. NG warning chirps then took off May 5

@HellgateOsprey NG brought a beautiful still flopping fish to the nest. Iris lightly chirped at him. He flew off with it, hopefully to eat his portion and bring the rest back to her.

@PL4247 @HellgateOsprey Personally I'm confident this is NG2's egg based on everything I've read. The most recent sperm has an almost sure chance because it's released to fertilize the egg before any older, stored sperm. Last in, first out :) (Scottish Wildlife Trust)

@HellgateOsprey 3rd time this season for happy tears. Iris came home, NG2 came & stayed / Louis didn't hurt the season. Iris taught NG2 that she needs fish. NG2 learned sexy time / his butt NOT in her face. Now she'll teach him to bring food, incubate and teach his young how to thrive
