Women on the move often encounter great barriers when seeking justice - no papers, no language support, no services that understand their lived realities. At #CSW70, IOM called on governments to change that.

Pleased to meet with UN @indonesiaunny, Ambassador Umar Hadi. We had a timely discussion on Indonesia’s migrant workers protection policy. We looked into ways on how to increase the role of diaspora and remittances.

Migration is a fact of life. With over 300 million people on the move worldwide, governance is essential. The Global Compact provides the framework to ensure migration is safe, orderly, and beneficial for countries of origin, transit, and destination. As we approach the Second International Migration Review Forum, it is important to take stock of implementation against the commitments of the Global Compact.

We're moving beyond theory. Integrated shelter coordination, shared humanitarian data, route-based protection. This is what UN80 looks like in practice. This is how we prove multilateralism can adapt and deliver.

Proud to share that IOM is now co‑leading the new Global Shelter, Land and Site Coordination Cluster. This matters. It brings vital support together so families caught in crisis can find safety faster and begin rebuilding their lives with dignity.

Always a great pleasure catching up with @FijiMissionUN to exchange on the close collaboration on the PIF regional framework on labour mobility and climate mobility. Resilience is strengthened through human mobility that enables adaptation in the face of climate change.

Pleasure meeting PR @VietNam_UN HE Do Hung Viet for a timely discussion about advancing UN reforms, labour mobility and climate-induced displacement. Discussed in detail the lessons learned and significant progress made in its national implementation plan for the GCM.

I came to Sudan to listen. At Al Afad camp, I met families who fled Al Fasher. A mother who lost her husband and children. Girls just nine years old now displaced and traumatized. 30M people need aid. 10M are displaced. Sudan’s crisis is deepening. The world must not look away.
