Pirates of the Caribbean Updates

There are a lot of conflicting rumors swirling around about Pirates of the Caribbean 6. It gets very complicated and confusing trying to keep up with it all, so for the sake of my sanity i’ll only be posting OFFICIAL updates from Disney, Jerry Bruckheimer, etc on the movie…

15 years ago today, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides had its world premiere at the Disneyland Resort in California. All the stars from the film attended, including Chiquita, one of the monkeys that played Jack the Monkey! Johnny Depp even got to meet Kermit the Frog!

Happy birthday to Kevin McNally, who played Joshamee Gibbs in all five Pirates of the Caribbean movies! The franchise would not be the same without Gibbs, and Kevin brought the character to life so perfectly!

i’ll always love how creative they were with the moonlight gimmick in pirates of the caribbean- it made for some super fun action and then pair it with that score??? ughhh ‘the curse of the black pearl’ is such a perfect adventure movie

Barbossa’s arrival at the Fountain of Youth is one of my favorite parts of On Stranger Tides. What I love most about this scene is how you can see Barbossa’s silhouette rising in the fog behind Blackbeard. It’s one of my absolute favorite shots in the whole film.

One of my favorite details in Pirates of the Caribbean comes from Dead Man’s Chest. When Jack Sparrow hears mention of Cutler Beckett, he grabs his wrist almost like he’s in pain. And the spot he grabs is right where his pirate brand is located, which Beckett gave him.
