I was just thinking about the wave of East Coast rappers who were making West Coast-influenced music after The Chronic. Someone on Threads said something to the effect that NYC rappers only drew influence from NYC rap, and I immediately thought of a few counterexamples.

i love @TheLotRadio 🥰 when i was a kid i'd get an itunes giftcard for every occasion & i'd build insane playlists of all the songs/pieces/tracks i liked at the moment (never full albums) irrespective of genre... now i do the same when i dj for y'all <3
