Celebrating the amazing 33 year career of our very own Toni Carson today. PVMS has been blessed to be a part of the last 17. Thank you for the time, energy, and love that you have poured into our families and community. Happy retirement!

Mrs. Cole and her amazing 8th Grade Patriot Yearbook & WPPL Broadcast classes visited @foxcarolinanews and the Graphic Technology program at @ACTC_org for their end of year field trip. Most of these students have been in these two classes all three years of middle school.

Mrs. Rice-Kafafy’s students published another book this year - “P is for Peyton”! On Wednesday, Peyton Valiquette joined the class to celebrate the arrival of the books and the friendship he’s built with these amazing student authors!

8th grader Jessie Cole presented "The Patriot Peddler" to PVMS as a product of her Girl Scout Silver Award accomplishments. Jessie dedicated hours of hard work while building this portable storefront. We look forward to using it for years to come. Thank you, Jessie!

Congratulations to the ASD1 Middle School Battle of the Books winners “The Skittles” who won the district competition tonight after 68 tiebreaker rounds. School winners, “We Still Don't Have a Name Yet”, also moved past the first round for the tiebreaking round. So proud you!

Powdersville Middle School is one of twenty-seven schools in the nation to be recognized as an Imagine Learning School of Excellence for outstanding results by purr multilingual students Thank you Mrs. Smith for your leadership and investment in our students and this program.

Hudson and Chase Logan have made it to the Bass Team Classic at Lake Russell on Friday and Saturday for the Wren Bass Team! Out of the 95 Middle School teams on the Palmetto Boat Center Trail, they rank 15th. They have had an outstanding year…finish strong, fellas!

We are celebrating a big thing today! PVMS was recognized as a PLTW Distinguished School for 2022-2023! This award highlights our commitment to empowering students through STEM education in our Gateway program. PVMS is just 1 of 9 middle schools in SC to receive the award!

VEX IQ Challenge divisions are in full swing in Dallas at the VEX Robotics World Championship. Our teams are representing PVMS well...Good luck and finish strong!

Our VRC teams are still going at it this evening. Final day of competition is tomorrow!

Our VRC competition teams are ready for action at the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas for the next few days. They will face almost 600 teams from 30 different countries while there. Extremely proud of their work to qualify for this event. Go get 'em, teams!

8th graders spent a fun-filled day at Roper Mountain Science Center learning about wave behavior, force and motion, and space. What a fun day of learning off-campus just before Spring Break!
