Large queues of Mozambican nationals have formed at the South Africa border ahead of a planned strike in Mozambique tomorrow. Many appear to be crossing into South Africa as uncertainty grows over the shutdown action. The current situation has raised concern over possible disruptions and border pressure.

Two Nigerians have been arrested in the Eastern Cape. What the police have uncovered is now raising serious concerns about organised drug activity operating in our communities. Crime prevention officers in the Eastern Cape acted swiftly on a tip-off from a credible source. The information had come in, pointing to suspected drug dealing and possession of stolen property at a residential address, in SkyView, Southernwood kuGompo. Police moved in, located the address and encountered two suspects, both foreign nationals aged 37 and 41. On searching the premises, the police found Mandrax tablets, and multiple cellphones believed to have been stolen. Both suspects were immediately taken into custody and charged under the Drugs and Drug trafficking Act.
