Put together a few thoughts about what happened on Sunday. I'll be thinking about it for a long time to come. One of those surreal and glorious experiences that you don't ever think will happen to you. St Patrick's Cullyhanna- All Ireland Intermediate Football Champions 2024

GAA draw Kerry and Dublin against each other, everyone shouts fix. GAA keep Kerry and Dublin apart, everyone shouts fix. I know this is a mad idea but maybe it’s…just the draw?

@GerryCu58302876 Think the idea is just to give it a bit more profile & media attention midweek than competing with the aftermath of the games themselves

Could someone in the GAA hierarchy please explain to us why the draw for the next phase of games cannot take place on Sunday game but rather wait until 8.30am on Tuesday. Is there some contractual arrangement or what? Just doesn’t make sense.

Finally, nothing in the GAA is more boring than referee discourse. The same tedious conversation every time, ignoring the long list of other reasons teams actually lose

@CassStephen @racingJimbo @the_racehour Was just searching KB name and saw this. He’s 66s with 4 places for the Supreme. Seems very big in a race that doesn’t have a lot of graded form. If he progressed at all from DRF he could hit the frame.

@racingJimbo @the_racehour Kripticjim the main one. Think he is a big player on form. And then Blake and Koktail Brut are related form and I like the two of them but KB a better chance as he may improve for the trip in the Turners. Thanks for coming Jim, we very much appreciate the effort.

Very much enjoyed the big @the_racehour preview last night. Some strong opinions and big prices. I hope ye enjoy it.

😂 As ever, Mikey Fogarty causing absolute chaos as he discusses the time he told a very disappointed Patrick Mullins that he should have picked Ferny Hollow. 🏇 The 2026 #Racehour Cheltenham Festival Preview Night is live, in association with @bet365 & @gambling_com 🎥 Watch: youtube.com/watch?v=05-rUm… Panel: 💥 @DavidJenningsRP 💥 David Mullins 💥 Mikey Fogarty 💥 @CassStephen 💥 @RacingTrends 💥 @dermonolan91 💥 @GarConno

@PaddySav Well Paddy! Cheers and apologies. This show is always just focussed on YouTube. Racing hub there etc.

@DaraghDeane10 @Mike_Quirke I think some people didn’t like when teams deliberately slowed the game to get the last attack. Agree it was better the previous way, this is going to produce a lot of pretty unfair situations

Credit due there to Conor Hand as well, that pick-up was smooth, bided his time before going for the riskier pass as well. So easy to pop that to a runner off the shoulder and absolve the responsibility

@PaddySav You may be right ... but do you (i) change the definition of a close game or (ii) keep the definition to show the effects of the new rules?

New rules have led to less close games – 71% (22 of 31) of the 2024 games were decided by six or less. This year that is 48% (12 of 25). However we are getting more high scoring, closer games - 32% (8 of 25) in 2025 but just 13% (4 of 31) last year.

Big night looming at the @RoscommonGAA convention. Particularly looking forward to this debate about how only away teams should steal footballs in future.
