Adding your name to a memorial already named in honor of a great man doesn’t make you a great man. Quite the contrary. Putting your name on top of someone else’s doesn’t mean that people will speak of you in the same breath as the other man. Putting your name above another man’s name on his existing memorial… What is that about? Truly? What’s that about? Do you want people to speak the names as one? Dig down deep. What are you trying to say? I’m really interested. There is no other president who would do this. None. Zero. In fact, it’s not even legal. Congress named the performing arts center as a living memorial in 1964, and only congress can change that law.
This will always be the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Art. A great man would have said to his hand picked board, “Thank you, but the building already has its name. Let it stand. Let it be. I don’t need that.” But then again…

This Is a Lie ❌
This list was created by pro-Russian ultra-right activists who started spreading it through pro-Russian accounts and Russian media. In reality, no official statistics like this exist at all. And even based on publicly known data, the lies are obvious:
China 🇨🇳
The numbers are understated by several times. China regularly imprisons people en masse for online comments and is the absolute leader on this list.
Russia 🇷🇺
Also a lie. Even by Russia’s own minimized official data, there are over 1,000 people prosecuted just for comments under criminal cases for “discrediting the army” and for publishing the truth online. And that doesn’t even include all the other articles, including criticism of Putin. Russia comes second after China.
Belarus 🇧🇾
The numbers are also understated. There are no official figures, but political arrests after 2020 have already reached much higher levels.
Turkey 🇹🇷
The number of people imprisoned for online comments is also underreported. There are thousands jailed under “terrorism” charges related to social media activity.
Germany 🇩🇪
More or less accurate data, but these are cases related to supporting Nazism and Holocaust denial.
United Kingdom 🇬🇧
The figures are accurate according to The Times (2023), but these detentions were for harassment, incitement to hatred, and terrorist propaganda, not for simple comments. These are not political repressions like in dictatorships.
USA 🇺🇸
Cases for harassment are indeed around 50, but again, these are not political detentions like in Russia, Belarus, or China.
No one is detained for freedom of speech in the UK, Europe, or the United States.
But in Asian dictatorships, such arrests are routine. You have no right to criticize — otherwise you go to prison.
If you think otherwise — go live in Russia, North Korea, Iran, or China, and then we’ll see what you say 🙂
If what you claim were actually true, you’d already be sitting in prison for posts like this. So either you’re lying, or you’re writing this from an office of Russian bot farms 🙂

Tech Bro's Sense of Smell: A Short Story in Three Acts
Act I
A woman posts a photo holding her English PhD thesis on the politics of smell (or the relationship between smell and power).
Tech bros left, right, and center troll her, trash her. Thousands of hateful, sexist comments.
This is a complete and utter waste of time and effort and money; literary studies is a fake academic field, they say.
Who even needs yet another PhD in English, they ask.
Act II
A white tech bro sees a photo of a hackathon with a bunch of young Indian men in the foreground.
"imagine the smell," he comments.
Indian tech bros criticize him. This is racist, they say.
We wash ourselves with water after pooping unlike you folks who use dry toilet paper. It's you who smells, they say.
They ask the white tech bro to apologize.
White tech bro says, this is a harmless joke, all hackathons smell. He says, he will not apologize, and asks others to be charitable with him.
Indian tech bros start leaving 1 star reviews for the app the company the white tech bro works at.
Act III
The white tech bros' boss is an Indian tech bro.
The Indian boss fires the white tech bro.
Epilogue
Now do you see how complex the relationship between smell and power is. That's why smart folks at top universities spend years trying to understand and explain this relationship.

🇺🇸🇪🇺 Americans often ask me why so many Europeans seem to “hate America.” And every time, I give the same answer. We don’t. Not even close. Europeans actually love the real America, the one built on curiosity, creativity, humour, openness, and that effortless friendliness you meet the moment you land in Boston or San Diego. That America has a permanent fan club on this side of the Atlantic.
What Europeans push back against is something entirely different. MAGA is not America. MAGA is a political product engineered by billionaires who tell ordinary people they can become just like them, if only they get angry at the right enemies. It is a movement built on fear instead of confidence, outrage instead of optimism, and nostalgia instead of progress. Europeans react to it not because they dislike Americans, but because they recognise the pattern. We have seen versions of this before. It never ends well.
And here’s the thing. Most MAGA supporters aren’t bad people. Many are simply caught in a machine designed to keep them frustrated, suspicious, and loyal. They are told the world is against them, that experts lie, that allies cheat, that democracy is rigged unless their guy wins. When Europeans criticise MAGA, it is not an attack on those people. It is frustration at the billionaires and political operatives who deliberately mislead them.
So no, Europe does not hate America. We admire the America that still leads in science, technology, film, music, human rights, and cultural energy. But we will always call out the forces that try to shrink that America into something smaller, angrier, and less free. Because in the end, we want the best version of America to win. And honestly, so do most Americans.

Ni los gritos de políticos fanáticos empujados por sus propios traumas y complejos;
ni las amenazas de billonarios llenos de ego, incapaces de entender la solidaridad ni la empatía humana,
van a detener el mayor proyecto de paz, democracia y justicia social de la Historia.

Amazon just fired everyone in Quebec & shut down all warehouses because they unionized. There is no way in hell that companies like that are building robots & AI because they want to liberate humanity from slavery.
The Architect.@TheMarcitect
Does anyone really believe when AI and androids take over they are just going to let us all do what we want.. billions of people without jobs and nothing to do. Trust me there's a future for the rich and it's a future without us. A big drop in the worlds population is coming.
