#MiraculousLadybug I think most #Miraculous fans can agree with me here but Derision from #MiraculousSeason5 is one of the WORST in the series and to those questioning, why or haven’t seen this episode I’ll TRY to abridge it for you
Adrien wakes Marinette up by phone call, reminding her of the date they have at the pool and on the way there in Marinette starts feeling antsy having panic attacks and ALMOST gets akumatized in the process. And so this episode was a essentially a flashback episode to the previous school year explaining why Marinette has trouble getting close to people who she loves case In point being Adrien in the present. But in the flashback since at that point, Adrien was being homeschooled she has a crush Kim who has a pension for “comedy” (keep that in mind for later). Chloe, hears this and tells/easily manipulates Kim that he should give Marinette a gift so Chloe can secretly humiliate her.
Later At the pool Marinette and Kim were having a grand time enough that Marinette decides to reveal her love for Kim. In response, Kim presents her with a gift that has spiders in it, freaking Marinette out and she falls into the pool below. And Chloe caught that all on video about to post it online but Socqueline stands on business smashes Chloe’s phone before the video could. To which Marinette declares she will NEVER fall in love again without knowing EVERYTHING about the person she loves in making sure they NEVER befriend. Chloe (and we now know where Marinette’s stalker-y tendency comes from).
The flashback ends as Kim finishes telling Ondine and Adrien the story and both of them get RIGHTFULLY pissed off at him asking how he could do those awful things to Marinette as he claims and I quote “it was just a practical joke”. And then he goes on about how amazing Chloe is since I guess he always liked her from the previous school year to now. And Kim gets mad because no one appreciates his “unique” sense of humor and gets akumatized into Dark Humor.
So him, Ladybug and Cat Noir fight you know the drill but Adrien as Cat Noir is increasingly aggressive while fighting almost to the point of Cataclysming him which I don’t blame the guy. I mean yeah Cataclysming someone is bad Monarch is surely but slowly paying the price for that (even though that was his own damn fault in the first place).
Anyway, they fight, Dark Humor loses gets de-akumatized back to Kim and everyone returns to the pool with Kim RIGHTFULLY apologizing to Marinette and then the episode ends with some sweet #Adrienette goodness. Wait no actually after the end card Adrien RIGHTFULLY tells Chloe off saying they will NEVER be friends again…YES…SO MUCH YES!
OOH BOY…..so as I was typing this I was also re-watching the episode and it gets WORSE every time I watch it I’m not even joking like not even Adrien snapping at Chloe at the end was enough to save this episode. But now that the episode is over I can safely say…..FUCK THIS EPISODE do yourself a favor and skip this episode you’re not missing much 🤬
*takes a deep breath* Ok….I’m done…I feel better now…it’s just this episode doesn’t EXIST to me 😁
