@GautamKalghatgi @Giantstalk2 @greg_price11 It’s recovered but not as cobalt,the sulphur is converted to hydrogen sulphide which can then be converted into sulphuric acid and used in other industries. Desulphurisation uses a lot of cobalt, the biggest consumer of cobalt in the catalyst sector. You figures aren’t close

@Giantstalk2 @greg_price11 Wait til you find out cobalt is used in the desulphurisation of the petrol and diesel you put in your ice car. Has been used for decades. In fact more is mined for that than batteries

@greg_price11 The cobalt in the batteries is mined by child labor in Africa. But who cares about that when you can feel superior to the great unwashed.
