Current headline-grabbing tactics of taggings, deportations and detention, designed to scare away already desperate people are therefore, we believe, at odds with the compassion that many in this country believe we should show to our fellow human beings #WorldRefugeeDay

We toured all over England, North to South and were heartened by the responses of audiences to the themes of the piece, many feeling that we could and should do better to welcome people arriving on our shores, one person even signing off “a brexiteer”.

Our 2019 tour of ‘The Boy and the Memaid’ was created as a response to the Syrian refugee crisis, & to people to risking their lives in the seas to reach safer shores. This #WorldRefugeeDay we call on the UK to show compassion & humanity to people seeking safety
