In the light of consciousness and the darkness of oblivion, I am she who walks the floors of hell and dances on the pearls of heaven with her stilettos.

@heispreston Lmlol! I’ve worked with the French. There’s nothing you’d tell me about Ghanaians being slow.

@Particular_Eva One thing I admire about ghanaians is the ability to lie to ourselves so easily. Noone does it better. Niggas is SLOW AND LAZY!

That is because the road system is bad! That’s not the drivers fault. Would I rather he be in haste and get a problem? We’d also shout loudly if he drives haphazardly to cross a yellow light 🚦. We value our lives. Being slow isn’t one of the things we are as Ghanaians.
shafman 🇵🇸🇸🇩@yaron__zango

we can reject this woman’s comparison with nigeria and still agree this is not “how life is meant to be like”. do you really like it when your uber driver takes forever to get to your location, even after you had to call him repeatedly?

I hate the fact that our leaders are watching Galamsey thrive. They’re fully involved and don’t care about what effects it has on Ghanaians. #StopGalamseyNow

@Boat_eng__ Should I be in a rush and hurt myself in a rickety trotro because another wants to get down? The barber is taking time cos he wants to give you the best service. ! Do you not scold your trotro driver when he’s driving anyhow to cross every car to pass the green light ?

@Particular_Eva We don't in these same trotro when one has to get down for another to alight see what happens. We go earlier to catch flights because we don't want to miss. After those are done, we act slow. You spend 3 hours in trimming hairs. Queueing for everything too.

@Boat_eng__ We do have a sense of urgency. A huge one. Do you think our parents used to go to the airport at 2am when the flight is 10am for fun? We won’t run to catch trotro cos there’s more trotro on the road. Really, think about it. We do have a sense of urgency!

@Particular_Eva It's about their lifestyle and being used to. We usually have no sense of urgency at alllll. It's very bad.

@lmdzarto @askghmedia That’s not being slow. That’s directing you to the right person who can answer you better. It might be frustrating sometimes but that’s the right thing to do.

@Particular_Eva @askghmedia In some things we are slow, our customers service is below par. Go to China mall and ask a question. The person in the aisle will tell you it's not their area, ask the next person. But they can go back to Niaja if they are not happy.

@StrikeyStrikes We are not. The attitude of “some” Ghanaians towards work isn’t the narrative of the collective. I do not see any reason to rush a trotro, food, walk hastily, do things faster, not wait for traffic etc. Have you met the French ? Even the French countries in West Africa?

@zika_fierce I find the French way of life “slow”. The multiple breaks and no work during vacations. But I accept it’s their way of life. I won’t “rush” them just cos it’s slow to me. That’s the difference. Yes individuals can be inspired but it doesn’t change their way of life.

@Particular_Eva I have Ghanaian colleagues at work and even they admit that things go slow in Ghana. One of them said one of the best things to happen to him was having Nigerian friends whe he moved to the UK, he said it made him sit up.

Ghana needs to start researching architectural materials that can provide natural ventilation for housing projects. The solution is a low-tech, cost-effective use of clay or earth tubes, which are sustainable, zero-energy, passive geothermal solar cooling systems. Classrooms must be built from clay, which is a natural temperature regulator, absorbing heat during the day and releasing it at night. Educational structures in Ghana need a new shift in architectural designs that help address issues of climate change. The attached images are of the Class Rouge project in Niger, which utilizes SEB (Stabilised Earth Blocks), a bioclimatic material made from locally sourced laterite-rich soil stabilized with 6–7% cement. This offers excellent thermal insulation, reducing classroom temperatures by 5–6 degrees compared to traditional cement buildings. We need thinkers who can replicate this innovation to provide an environment that is not only good for learning but also conducive for residential apartments.
