Recently got my hands on a translation of Thiago Motta's thesis for his UEFA pro license and one thing that immediately stuck out to me was his emphasis on "technical trust" - a team's ability to trust in one another to receive passes in difficult positions and continue the play

Genuinely think the only way we survive atp is if our board has a Maranakis level crash out at the PL and PGMOL We need calls going our way if we want to get any points out of the rest of the season. Got to whine enough that every ref second guesses their decisions

Genuinely wild a light hair pull is a red card and 3 game ban but Brobbey ending Romero’s season by pushing him into Kinsky who also got a nasty head injury wasn’t even worthy of a yellow.

Fun fact, Spurs have had 6 PL penalties in the past three seasons: 25/26: 0 24/25: 4 23/24: 2 For reference, THIS season alone

The cumulative effect of these missed calls over a game & over a season matter. In this game, it led to a dangerous level of physicality that saw an injury to our captain & our goalkeeper covered in blood. Not only that, but the ref's incompetence had a direct impact on the outcome of this game, one that could decide Spurs' Premier League future. Those kinds of decisions are literally worth millions of pounds, and it would be one thing if this was an isolated incident but it's been a common theme of this Spurs season.

Said this on Friday, but it’s remarkable how we’ve managed to lose every ‘cannot lose’ game. If you draw today, against Forest and against West Ham in January, you’re on 33 points above Leeds, but these players are incapable of grinding out a result.
Anas Ahmed@AnasFTL

In a relegation battle it’s important to not lose every game. If you don’t win it’s not always a disaster. The issue with us is we’ve just lost too many games and it’s become a habit. The likes of West Ham, Forest and Leeds have shown they can dig in and get results.

Within three minutes; a handball against Kolo Muani for a header, a shocking tackle on Tel unpunished, and Brobbey allowed to cause a double head injury with no second yellow card. What’s the point?!

an under-discussed aspect of today’s horrific officiating is that the ref, the VAR crew, and the commentating team only addressed Alderete’s challenge whilst completely ignoring O’Nien recklessly sliding in. 32 games, zero penalties for a reason.

This is so dirty from Brobbey. Should have been a second yellow and arguably a straight red. Pushing someone into a collision is a scumbag move that can only end up in people injuring each other. Spurs have been robbed of a sending off in a crucial relegation game.

Up there with the worst refereeing performance I’ve ever seen, to be honest. Even the challenge before this collision was a foul and the ref let it go.

This season has (rightfully) been defined by poor #Tottenham performances, but the officiating against Spurs has been nothing short of abhorrent. I genuinely can’t remember the last fair call—it honestly feels like they’re trying to send us down.
