Vaccinations are recommended for all: babies and children; secondary school children; and pregnant women You should talk to your child’s GP or your GP nurse if you have questions about whooping cough vaccines.

Older children and adults can get it too. A child with whooping cough will have repeated spells of coughing that can last for 2 months or longer. Vaccines are the best way to protect your child and family from whooping cough.

Whooping cough is currently in circulation in Ireland. Whooping cough (also called pertussis) is a highly contagious infection of the lungs and airways. It can make babies and young children very ill.

Pavee Point Traveller and Roma Centre and Donegal Travellers Project have jointly submitted a response to the National Conversation on Education, reflecting the perspectives of Traveller parents who took part in a community consultation in Donegal. 1/3
