🚨 Israeli strikes have continued across southern Lebanon, despite the ceasefire, with a new attack in Saida killing at least 8 people and wounding 22, according to Al Jazeera. A separate strike hit a medical center in Chaqra, killing multiple paramedics. There has been no confirmation of a ceasefire from either Israel or Hezbollah regarding Israel’s invasion of Lebanon.

Important to remember that twice in less than a year, the U.S. claimed to be negotiating with Iran and then (with Israel) launched wars against Iran. Trump was in trouble with this war in multiple ways and needed a pause or an offramp. Time will tell what the motive is.

The most important sentence in Trump's ceasefire post is that the ensuing negotiations will be based on the Iranian 10-point proposal (and not Trump's 15 points). Trump says he will pause U.S. strikes on Iran for two weeks after talks with Pakistan’s leadership, on the condition that Iran immediately reopens the Strait of Hormuz and enters negotiations. He claims U.S. objectives have already been achieved and a broader deal is close. Iran, through FM Seyed Abbas Araghchi, signaled it will halt operations if attacks stop, confirming a two-week window of safe passage in Hormuz as talks move forward. Shehbaz Sharif announced both sides agreed to an immediate ceasefire framework and invited them to Islamabad to finalize a long-term agreement. The negotiations are centered around Iran’s proposal: a permanent end to the war, guarantees against future U.S. and Israeli attacks, no Israeli strikes on Hezbollah including Lebanon, full sanctions relief, and an end to all regional fighting. It also includes reopening Hormuz with regulated shipping, a roughly $2M transit fee per ship, shared revenues including Oman, and using Iran’s share for reconstruction. But Israel is now explicitly breaking from that framework, in an official statement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said it supports the U.S. pause on Iran but confirmed the two-week ceasefire does not include Lebanon, meaning operations against Hezbollah will continue. This directly contradicts the broader messaging from U.S., Iranian, and Pakistani officials, who framed the pause as part of a wider de-escalation.

Borders were closed for a few days due to Jewish holidays causing a shortage in formula. On March 29th, The Sameer Project visited the Shuhda’a Clinic in Daraj, Gaza City, to provide support to the patients. 100 mothers got two formula cans each and a hygiene package as well. An additional 35 packages were given to other patients in the clinic. Each hygiene package has tissue, medical masks and soap. Total cost with 11% commission was $2,059. Hundreds of babies are malnutritioned in Gaza, and the entry of formula is inconsistent. The siege never ended and the genocide never ended. In Gaza, MSF continues to treat an alarming number of patients with severe facial burns in our clinic in Gaza City. Among the most vulnerable are children, who make up 85 per cent of our current cohort of 88 active patients in the Gaza City clinic.   To prevent permanent disfigurement and disability, patients require specialised pressure therapy masks. Since 2020, MSF has been the only provider of 3D-printed physiotherapy masks in Gaza.   These masks apply consistent pressure to healing burns, preventing hypertrophic scarring and contractures that can impair breathing, movement, and facial function.   But since the Israeli authorities revoked the registration of MSF to work in Palestine, along with 37 other NGOs, on 3 December, 2025, we've been unable to get new supplies into Gaza. We are running out of filament, the essential material needed to create each customised mask.   At the same time, only two functioning 3D scanners remain in the entire Strip. Spare parts for printers are also blocked. We urge all relevant authorities to take immediate action to allow the delivery of essential medical supplies, equipment and spare parts into Gaza.
