I just met the Muslim family from #UttamNagar whose home was bulldozed after the recent communal tensions. As we sat with them, the woman of the house narrated what had actually happened that day. She spoke about how a 20-year-old man named Prince allegedly threw a balloon at her aunt and tried to molest her. When the family protested, he later returned with a group of people and a scuffle broke out. Tarun was among those who came with the group, and in the chaos that followed, he died. Listening to her, one thing kept echoing in my mind: did anyone in authority, or any of the loud “influencers” who rushed to give their verdicts, ever bother to come here and hear this side of the story? Or was the judgment already written before anyone cared to listen?

That is why I argued in Parliament for a National Blockchain Property Register. Time stamped, tamper proof, fully transparent. It can make title verification instant, and ensure every sale, mutation and inheritance is recorded cleanly and traceably in realtime. Countries like Sweden, Georgia and the UAE have shown what is possible. Transactions can finish in minutes, and dispute rates fall sharply. India must move from chaos to clarity. From a land record system that creates obstacles to one that prevents them.
