@PhDVoice Just remember each PhD journey is unique n shouldnot be compared. Plz try to meet up with fellow PhD students,it helps.Discuss your apprehensions with supervisors n peers.Try to chart out a tentative timeline for your PhD and see how u can fit in teaching, trainings n publishing

“Hello,
Thank you for creating a platform that amplifies the voices of PhD students. It's been really helpful so far, especially knowing that I'm not alone in certain feelings.
Please I have a question...👇

@__mns_____ @AcademicChatter @PhDVoice @PhD_Genie That seems fine especially if its thesis under same supervisors just to get a sense of structure. Also reading different theses personally helped me to understand how to organise my thoughts in a coherent manner.

@amydjohn @AcademicChatter For some its the other way around. Academia as a side gig 😉

I am leaving academia after my PhD and getting into an industry job which is very different from my PhD.But I want to keep engaging and contributing to the field and geographical area I researched on! Can I?@PhDVoice @AcademicFemale #phdchat #phdlife @AcademicChatter @BeyondProf

The hardest part when you r writing your thesis is to take out some of the most interesting findings because they are not in the scope of your current research n u r not even sure if they could be side papers cuz u r leaving academia later😑 #phdlife #AcademicChatter

@Shehunasirumuhd @BettySLai @PhDForum @DrJideOjo @yourPhDpal @AcademicChatter @GutsyCiCi @PhDLife7 @PhDVoice Just dont overwhelm yourself at the proposal stage. Its not about quantity...U will notice as u read the breadth of the topic u want to study and I think at this stage that will be enough! Also connect with fellow researchers who work in that area! Goodluck!
English

For developing a PhD proposal and choosing topic, I intend to read 83 literatures. Is that good enough?

#MentalHealth tip: It's easy to forget, but you are not your PhD. If your PhD is having a bad day, that does not mean you are a bad person. You are more than your PhD. #PhDchat #ECRchat #postdoc #PhDforum #AcademicChatter

I keep falling into the trap of thinking that doing a PhD in my 30s means I’m basically old and have to work harder to make up for “lost time”. That narrative cancels the rich experience and knowledge that people bring to the table and it’s toxic.

Bad writing precedes good writing. This is an infallible rule, so don’t waste time trying to avoid bad writing. (That just slows down the process.)
Anything committed to paper can be changed. The idea is to start, and then go from there. #PhDchat #ECRchat #postdoc #AcWriMo2021

I am honestly having a problem in finding conferences/call for papers related to my topic of research. Do you know any platforms that share announcements on the matters ? Otherwise, do you have tips to find calls for papers?
