It’s nearly time for the Pitton Carnival (Saturday 5th July) and the scarecrow trail is open! Come along and see the Fairy Tale Scarecrows all around Pitton Village 😃

This morning I had the privilege of taking 3 of our KS2 pupils to Chettle Farm in Blandford who supply produce to Salt Deli. It was lovely to see a local business wanting to work closely with local schools to promote fresh produce that is grown sustainably.

Pitton have signed up for Soccer Aid 2025 as part of our connection to OutRight 2024/2025 – a learning journey that will deepen children’s understanding of the UNCRC, democracy and global citizenship, whilst empowering them to use their voices and become change makers!

We have just installed our latest Art Exhibition at Five Rivers Leisure Centre. This will be available to view over the Easter break. Please do have a look at the fabulous work from across all year groups if you are visiting over the holiday 🖼️ 🎨

Did you spot Miss Pearce on That’s TV News last night? Miss Pearce was talking about our community Ground Force Day last week where we continued our pledge to help the environment and promote sustainability. We planted 20 trees in our orchard and 260 individual hedgerow! 🌳 🌳

We want to say a massive *thank you* from Friends of PittonSchool to everyone who baked and donated for our bake sale. FOPS raised an AMAZING £300 from this event which goesdirectly to enriching experiences for all children at our school.🎉🌼

We are really proud of our Y5/6 Dodge Ball Team who attended a Salisbury competition. After winning their group they faced the top teams in the competition and came 4/13 in the overall competition 😃

This afternoon Pitton hosted the annual PAT Church School Headteacher network meeting. A really inspirational group of head teachers! Thank you for coming everyone! 😃

World Book Day 2025 at Pitton 📖 📕

We ended Term 3 with a pupil led litter pick, a visit from Olympic Gymnast Kelly Simm and our new wellbeing Hugge Hub being built! Have a fantastic half term everyone and we will see you in Term 4 😃

A fabulous week here at Pitton! The whole school visited two farms to learn all about sustainable farming. Thank you to Gold Hill Farm and Billhey Farm for hosting us. The children had a really enjoyable and inspiring visit 🐄🦃🥬🚜

We’re delighted to share that Pitton has come SECOND in this year’s Song for Christmas Contest, out of 23 local schools! This is a special achievement for us, as we also came FIRST in the very first year of the contest, making us one of the top-performing schools in its history.

Fantastic whole school visit to @salisburyplayhouse to watch Sleeping Beauty. We also received some lovely comments about the pupils behaviour during the performance 😃

Our school choir performed superbly last Thursday at Salisbury Radio's 'Song for Christmas' Concert in aid of Salisbury Foodbank. Thank you to everyone who helped support this event. It was great to showcase our carol including the extra verse we wrote with the children.
