Who are the best CTO leads and bagworkers? I know there's been some great ones on BF before which i've already noted down but not sure who's been more locked in recently. I have set up so far 20 calls this week with different players of the game to see how we can help them as a launchpad. NFTs died because the product was broken. No underlying demand. Once the hype faded, nothing left. Memecoins feel the same right now. Pump.fun went from $3B weekly volume to ghost town numbers. The timeline that used to be electric is now the same few people talking to each other. You watched this exact movie four years ago. But here’s what the NFT comparison gets wrong. The demand for memecoins is gambling. And gambling never dies. It just evolves. ICOs became DeFi summer. DeFi became NFTs. NFTs became memecoins. The poker chips change but the casino stays open. The next wave won’t look like 2024. The bundlers, the snipers, the extraction - that infrastructure killed this wave. Not the concept. Retail didn’t leave because they lost interest. They left because they had nobody to trade with. No community. No context. Just them vs the insiders. The next casino gets built on bringing them back. Trading with friends. Bagging plays together. A social layer that makes crypto feel like a game again instead of a war. That’s how retail comes back. Not hype. Community. The casino never closes. It just upgrades. Every normie who came in excited about memecoins got rugged, bundled, or sniped within their first week and never came back. We didn’t lose retail to a bear market. We didn’t lose them to regulation. Bad actors extracted them. Squeezed every last dollar out of every new person who showed up until the well ran dry. The trenches aren’t quiet because people lost interest. They’re quiet because bundlers and ruggers ate everyone alive and there’s nobody left to feed on. Stop celebrating the guy who made 200 SOL dumping on retail like he’s some kind of genius. Right now it feels like there’s 10 of us trading the same money back and forth pretending this is still a market. It’s not. It’s a graveyard. But graveyards can become foundations. New money comes back when it feels safe. That means builders who don’t dump on their community. Launchers who have skin in the game. Calling out bad actors instead of crowning them. The next bull run won’t be built on hype. It’ll be built on trust. Start there.
