James Fishback is not some newly awakened anti-Zionist truth teller. He looks a lot more like a career climber who changed costumes when the audience changed. His own record reads like a before-and-after psyop. Start with the old James Fishback. In late 2023, he publicly praised Bari Weiss’s How to Fight Anti-Semitism, posting: “To tolerate anti-Semitism is to tolerate lies.” He thanks Bari Weiss directly and promotes the book like a loyal foot soldier in the respectable anti-antisemitism circuit. That was not a one-off, either, Fishback also wrote for Bari Weiss’s The Free Press in 2023 and 2024. His author page shows multiple pieces there, including one on debate and one on “banned books.” Wanna take a guess at what type of literature he was promoting? Then came the Fox phase. In the Fox segment tied to his “banned books” article, Fishback complained about one-sided education and explicitly said the problem included “the increase in anti-Semitic education.” That line is right there in the transcript, and he’s also wearing a U.S–Israel flag pin. So let’s be clear about the old brand: Bari Weiss orbit. Free Press contributor. Pushing anti-antisemitism messaging. Complaining on Fox about antisemitism in schools. Wearing Israel/U.S pin on air. And not ancient history. Now compare that with the new brand. By early 2026, Fishback was being described across multiple outlets as an anti-Israel Florida Republican candidate, attacking support for Israel, using rhetoric critics called antisemitic, and trying to become a hero to a very different crowd than the one he courted in 2023–24. Same mouth. New market. Think about it. That is the core of the roast. He does not read like a man who arrived at truth. He reads like a man who found a new customer base. Then there is the Greenlight mess. Bloomberg reported that Fishback admitted he violated the terms of his Greenlight employment by sending summaries of the fund’s positions and strategies to his personal email, along with a document showing Greenlight’s full portfolio. J behaviour is it not? The same report says he also had an undisclosed personal trading account investing in the same instruments around the same time, and agreed to pay Greenlight’s legal fees and costs. That is already bad enough. On top of that, court records in a separate promissory-note dispute show a judgment against him for $228,988.71. So the Greenlight story is not “mean old finance guys didn’t like him.” It is a documented pile of legal and professional wreckage. And yes, Greenlight’s founder is David Einhorn.…. not Finkle, EINHORN. IYKYK. Now to the ugliest part: the 17-year-old. This is where i want to hit hard but stay precise. NBC’s reporting, summarized by multiple outlets, says Broward County schools cut ties with Fishback in 2022 after allegations he had an inappropriate relationship with a student who was a minor at the time and connected to his debate world. A district official told NBC the district ended his volunteer work shortly after becoming aware of the relationship. Fishback denied wrongdoing and denied inappropriate conduct before she turned 18. That is his line. (see receipts) But here is why the public timeline still reeks. The reports say the relationship allegations surfaced in 2022, while she was 17. Later reporting says she moved in with him in 2023 and that they were briefly engaged. So even if he hides behind the “nothing improper until 18” defense, the sequence itself is what sets off every alarm bell. Grooming much? That is why the cleaner formulation is this. You just have to lay out the timeline plainly: 2022: allegations involving a 17-year-old tied to his debate operation. 2022: Broward cuts ties with him. His defense: nothing improper before 18. 2023: she moves in with him. Then: brief engagement.
