Germany is a total and irredeemable disgrace

Trump on Iran: We could end this in two seconds.

Iran's attacks on Qatar’s energy infrastructure are deepening the chaos. The war in the Middle East needs an exit, not an escalation. This is equally important for Ukraine, as Russia stands to gain from the Iran war. Now is the time to step up support for Ukraine, including by moving forward with the loan agreed by leaders already in December. My doorstep ahead of today’s #EUCO ↓

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz hurts the global economy and helps Russia fund its war. It is affecting our partners in the region and is dangerous for global energy supplies. Today, EU Foreign Ministers will discuss how to better protect shipping in the region, including contributions from our Aspides naval mission. My press remarks ahead of today’s Foreign Affairs Council ↓

Germany’s foreign minister says a regime like Iran cannot invoke international law. Turns out for Germany, international law isn’t universal - it’s pick-and-choose.

Hillary praises Trump & says he’s much better in his second term: “I think all of that is a very good signal that there is beginning to be a better understanding both by the President & the people around him… that there can be common ground amongst us”

🇪🇺 🇮🇷 Members of the European Parliament who have voted to sanction Iran can't even find it on a map

"You're witnessing right now [the] American empire's retreat from the Levant and the Middle East in general." Lawrence Wilkerson, retired U.S. Army colonel and former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, says the U.S. is at risk of losing its war on Iran, where it's already committed major war crimes. "This is a war with long legs," adds Wilkerson. "Trump has completely misinterpreted it. The only one who's interpreted it correctly is Bibi Netanyahu, and I think he's ready to use a nuclear weapon."

Told Steve Bannon that the manner in which Israel and Trump have conducted the war on Iran has left most of the population increasingly convinced that it's a war on Iran, not a war on the theocracy. This cannot be reversed - rather, Trump should just end the war.

The objective of the West is the break up of Iran into Kurdish, Azarbaijani etc. parts that would be in permanent wars with each other as is now the case in the former USSR (Ukraine-Russia) or, in terms of (luckily) frozen conflicts in the former Yugoslavia, or civil war in Libya, or in the de facto divided Iraq. In that view of the world, "the China problem" will be solved in the same way.
