Something I have noticed a lot in online discourse is that when people grow to despise a character or dynamic, they really do just make every single aspect of the show about that character they hate to the point where they just hate the show itself.

The ship starts being hinted and teased and all of the sudden Bumblebee haters crawl out of the woodwork to start blaming every aspect of the show they don't like on that damn ship.
