This is a perfect illustration of how we perceive the Hormuz risk.
Everyone is seeing the avalanche coming, yet everyone thinks that somehow it is under control... it isn’t.
There is no plan. No alternative routes that can scale fast enough... Hormuz opened or closed is all that matters.
The current avalanche is so big and dangerous that markets think this will resolve quickly due to the heavy economic costs... it won’t.
One month in, we hear reports that this operation might take from a few weeks to six months, to years... the avalanche will hit much earlier
Within a few weeks:
- Taiwan runs out of LNG -> no AI
- Fertilizer supplies are getting decimated -> no food
- Japan, Europe, Australia run out of diesel
The only thing keeping markets afloat is an unreasonably high amount of hopium... once it's gone, expect a violent rerating

1) She has a “strong” Pro-Israel position piece she won’t release to the public.
2) Her husband once was an AIPAC intern.
3) Just weeks ago she endorsed Jordan Acker for U of M Regent. A man who actively worked to get Palestinian protesters arrested.
Yeah, I can’t believe anyone would think her latest turn is anything but genuine.

BREAKING: Iran-linked hackers were behind the hack of FBI Director Kash Patel's personal email, per Reuters.
Details include:
1. Iran-linked Handala Hack Team has now publicly claimed the breach
2. Hackers published photographs of Kash Patel and his purported resume
3. A sample of the material uploaded by the hackers and reviewed by Reuters appears to show a mix of personal and work correspondence dating between 2010 and 2019
4. The hackers published a statement saying that Patel "will now find his name among the list of successfully hacked victims"
A DOJ official has said the material published by the hacker group "appears authentic."
