Slashes make Ethos way better and I think this is a perfect example of when a slash should be used. Hydraze still has a very high reputation and if you look at what Serpin says in his slash he is saying his “exemplary” reputation isn’t justified, not “he is evil and 100% guilty” Ethos has zero value if “this person has a big following of people who will positively review him” is the only measure of credibility. Slashes are a good way of breaking that.

Every time @serpinxbt does one of these marketing stunts, it removes credibility from Ethos From when he copy-pasta review bombed 100+ KOLs simply for having their name on a list, which is entirely out of their control, to now slashing @Hydraze420 for being guilty by association to take away his "exemplary reputation" on the platform Feels like he'll throw anyone under the bus just to get attention to his platform As for the Hydraze slash, it failed Because it was under 40%, Serpin would have lost 320 points, stripping him of his #1 rank (on his own platform) However in the final hours, despite the loss being a lock, a few people changed their vote from defend to slash, pushing it over 40%, nulling any point-loss From what I've been told, Serpin reached out to a few people to get them to vote in his favor and protect his reputation, basically manipulating his own platform One that stands out is Buz (image below) He voted 3 days ago, writing about the slash not making sense So why did he decide the switch to slash in the last moment? IMO Serpin deserved the 320 point loss for this I know he'll say "if you feel that way, slash me" but the odds of a slash on the founder of the platform passing are near 0 I also don't care what someone's Ethos score is, so this isn't my war to fight P.S. I like the platform and think it's a good idea (and I want my airdrop), but this kind of stuff makes me not want to use it Focus on score integration and growth, not ct drama and clout chasing

Reminder that you shouldn’t worry about “falling behind” in terms of learning whatever the new flavor of the month AI thing is. Every advantage from learning whatever the new thing is (openclaw/hermes in this case) will become a feature of every major LLM software almost immediately and it will only get easier and more convenient to use This also applies to whatever tool, mcp, markdown file strategy, or whatever you’re reading engagement bait articles about. If you’re not actively trying to build something where a slight edge will benefit you in the near term, there’s next to zero reason “keep up”. The people that unironically spread the “permanent underclass” memes are either incredibly naïve or are blatantly lying to get you to read their slop tutorials.

I don't "Like" it, but it is inevitable and I think AI generated art and audio is one of the least concerning aspects of what AI will do to society. These sentimental appeals are really hollow and the bigger problems with AI and "Slop" are more likely to be on the programming side

@adachi_cabbage2 @zachtothefuller @maximilian_ Yeah, it’s almost like the terms “art” and “artist” can mean multiple things. When I see “rocky terrain mesh 5” I’m just so deeply moved by the art and think about the artist pouring their life into achieving it. AI could never recreate this.

I think video games being art or not is kind of beside the point I was trying to make. I framed it like that in response to the clip. My point is more about creativity and expression generally. Gamers get very hung up on audio and visual assets being generated by AI. I am trying to be somewhat concise, but it is a really nuanced issue.

@TunedupToast Yeah, utility of rares goes down with price though. I feel like silver is almost as hard as bronze now and gold is where silver was a few months ago. There are just way too many competitive cards in circulation.
