Coming home! KTEN can confirm Denison ISD has named Brian Lilly as the new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach! Lilly graduated from Denison in 2008 and is a ‘05 Alumni Hall of Fame Inductee. From playing college football to coaching, Lilly knows about a winning tradition. Four state titles with Brentwood Academy, was the Defensive Coordinator of Cisco’s first conference title and most recently, led a Lawson High School to their first playoff berth in school history! We’ll meet the new Jacket in charge and learn more about this decision tonight on KTEN @SportsKTEN @tyleraidan2 @DenisonFB

I’ve been telling people 7on7 has gotten so far away from what it Was Intended to Be A DEVELOPMENTAL Tool for Offseason Growth that allowed Football players the Opportunity ESPECIALLY Small Town Kids like ours to get out Play against competition they’ll never see the way ⚾️ 🥎 🏀 had to gain a mental edge when they came back to school ball. An opportunity to visit colleges while traveling leading to some being offered on the spot and or later bc they’d been on campus and had verified height and weight of offered a committable offer be able to take it bc they’d been on campus. Making friends and experiences for a lifetime. The small town QB who’s a college DB or WR be able to get 3 months of reps playing other positions. Now grown man groupies are following kids around rappers who never ran a route in their life getting teams Pajama pants, wal mart vest and all types of other stuff that have 0 to do with IMPROVING at football have become cool an if no adult is leading they allow it. It’s a 🎪 and bee a circus for couple years and we’re not developing 🤡 we tryna develop men so the circus act isn’t welcome here BUT if the organization has nothing else to lean on they accept all of it and now NFL network involved and it’s all been downhill
