During the meeting, they discussed the developments of the military escalation in the region and its serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability, as well as its economic effects on various countries around the globe. Their Excellencies also emphasized the importance of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and discussed ways to resolve all disputes by peaceful means. مشروع غولدن باس للغاز الطبيعي المسال، أكبر استثمارات قطر للطاقة في الولايات المتحدة، يحقق إنجازاً تاريخياً بأول إنتاج للغاز الطبيعي المسال حقق مشروع غولدن باس للغاز الطبيعي المسال، وهو مشروع مشترك بين قطر للطاقة وإكسون موبيل، إنجازاً هاماً نحو التشغيل الكامل لمرافق إنتاج وتصدير الغاز الطبيعي المسال بأول إنتاج للغاز الطبيعي المسال من خط الانتاج الأول من أصل ثلاثة خطوط تبلغ طاقتها الاجمالية 18 مليون طن سنوياً. ويمهد الإنتاج الأول من الغاز الطبيعي المسال الطريق أمام مشروع غولدن باس للغاز الطبيعي المسال لتصدير أول شحنة له من منشآته الواقعة في سابين باس في ولاية تكساس، من خلال عمليات مستدامة لتسييل الغاز، وتحقيق أهدافه التجارية والاستراتيجية. وفي معرض تعليقه بهذه المناسبة، صرح سعادة المهندس سعد بن شريده الكعبي، وزير الدولة لشؤون الطاقة، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لقطر للطاقة: "يحمل الإنتاج الأول من الغاز الطبيعي المسال أهمية بالغة، حيث يُمثّل أحد أكبر قرارات الاستثمار في تاريخ صناعة الغاز الطبيعي المسال الأمريكية. ستأتي المرحلة التشغيلية ودخول مشروع غولدن باس للغاز الطبيعي المسال إلى السوق في وقت بالغ الأهمية، حيث يحتل أمن الطاقة العالمي مكانة بارزة في جميع أجندات الطاقة حول العالم. ونحن نتطلع إلى البدء الآمن والناجح لعمليات التصدير." وأضاف سعادة الوزير سعد بن شريده الكعبي: "يشكّل مشروع غولدن باس للغاز الطبيعي المسال جزءاً من استراتيجية واسعة النطاق لاستثمارات قطر للطاقة حول العالم، والتي خططنا لها خلال العقد الماضي. كما يمثل المشروع جزءاً هاماً من الخطط التي أعلنتها قطر للطاقة عام 2018لاستثمار 20 مليار دولار في قطاع الطاقة الأمريكي. واليوم، نحن نشهد أولى ثمار هذه الاستراتيجية بعيدة النظر مع بدء تشغيل مشروع غولدن باس للغاز الطبيعي المسال، الذي سيلعب دوراً هاماً في دعم أمن الطاقة العالمي وضمان الوصول العادل والمتوازن إلى طاقة أنظف." واختتم سعادة الوزير سعد بن شريده الكعبي تصريحه قائلاً: "أود أن أتقدم بالشكر للهيئات التنظيمية الأمريكية على تعاونها الفعّال الذي ساهم بالوصول إلى هذه اللحظة. كما أود أن أشكر شريكنا الاستراتيجي، شركة إكسون موبيل، الذين نواصل العمل معهم عن كثب لتنفيذ هذا المشروع وغيره من المشاريع حول العالم. وأخيراً، أود أن أعرب عن امتناني لإدارة وموظفي غولدن باس للغاز الطبيعي المسال، وللفرق العاملة في قطر للطاقة وإكسون موبيل، على تفانيهم والتزامهم، وهو ما يشكل عاملاً أساسياً في تحقيق التزامنا في مجال الطاقة." يذكر أن غولدن باس للغاز الطبيعي المسال هو مشروع مشترك بين قطر للطاقة (70%) وإكسون موبيل (30%). وكانت الشركتان قد أعلنتا قرارهما النهائي لاستثمار أكثر من عشرة مليارات دولار أمريكي في مشروع التصدير في فبراير من عام 2019. ومن المتوقع أن يبدأ تصدير الغاز الطبيعي المسال من المشروع في الربع الثاني من 2026. #قطر_للطاقة⁣ #قطر

Golden Pass LNG, QatarEnergy’s largest investment in the United States, marks historic milestone with first LNG production Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, has marked a major milestone towards full operations of its LNG production and export facilities by achieving first LNG production from the first of 3 LNG trains comprising the 18 million tons per annum project. First LNG sets the stage for Golden Pass LNG to deliver its first cargo from its facilities located in Sabine Pass, Texas, by achieving sustained liquefaction operations, and meeting its commercial and strategic objectives. Commenting on this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, said: “First LNG is of a particular importance for one of the largest single investment decisions in U.S. LNG history. The operational phase and market entry of Golden Pass LNG will come at an important time when global energy security ranks very high on energy agendas worldwide. We look forward to the safe and successful start of export operations.” His Excellency Minister Al-Kaabi said: “Golden Pass LNG is part of a wider QatarEnergy strategy for international investments that we have been planning over the past decade. It also represents a significant part of the plans announced by QatarEnergy in 2018 to invest 20 billion dollars in the U.S. energy sector. We are now seeing the first fruits of this far-sighted strategy with the start of Golden Pass LNG, which will play an important role in supporting global energy security and a fair and balanced access to cleaner energy.” Concluding his remarks, H.E. the Minister said: “I would like to thank the U.S. regulators for their effective cooperation, which has helped lead to this moment. I also would like to thank our strategic partner, ExxonMobil, with whom we continue to work closely to implement this and other projects around the world. Finally, I would like to voice gratitude to the management and all employees at Golden Pass LNG as well as the teams at QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil for their dedication and commitment, which are key to helping deliver on our energy commitment.” Golden Pass LNG is a partnership between QatarEnergy (70%) and ExxonMobil (30%). The two companies had announced their final investment decision of more than 10 billion dollars for developing the Golden Pass LNG export project in February 2019. نثمن اعتماد مجلس حقوق الإنسان لهذا القرار الهام، الذي جاء بمبادرة من دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية الشقيقة، بشأن تداعيات الهجمات غير المبررة التي تشنها الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية على حقوق الإنسان. ويجسد هذا التوافق الدولي، المدعوم من أكثر من 105 دول، التزام المجتمع الدولي بتعزيز سيادة القانون الدولي، والدعوة إلى تسوية النزاعات بالطرق السلمية بما يضمن الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي.

وزير الدولة للتعاون الدولي @MANAlMisned ترحب باعتماد مجلس حقوق الإنسان قرارا بشأن الآثار المترتبة على حقوق الإنسان جراء الهجمات الإيرانية الدوحة | 25 مارس 2026 رحبت سعادة الدكتورة مريم بنت علي بن ناصر المسند، وزير الدولة للتعاون الدولي، باعتماد مجلس حقوق الإنسان القرار المقدم نيابة عن دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية الشقيقة، بشأن الآثار المترتبة على حقوق الإنسان جراء الهجمات الإيرانية غير المبررة على هذه الدول، واعتبرت القرار خطوة مهمة تجسد الإجماع الدولي على رفض استهداف المدنيين والأعيان المدنية. وأوضحت سعادتها، في تصريح لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/، أن هذا القرار يأتي استكمالا للجهود الخليجية المشتركة التي توجت باعتماد قرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2817 (2026)، مشيرة إلى أن القرار حظي بإجماع المجلس واعتمد بالتوافق، فيما شارك ما يزيد عن 105 من الدول في تبنيه، مما يعكس تضامنا دوليا واسعا مع شعوب دول مجلس التعاون والأردن، وذلك خلال الجلسة الطارئة لمجلس حقوق الإنسان التي عقدت بطلب من الدول المقدمة لمشروع القرار. وأضافت أن القرار يتضمن نصوصا جوهرية في حيثياته، إذ يدين بأشد العبارات الاعتداءات العسكرية الإيرانية التي استهدفت المدنيين والبنى التحتية المدنية وأدت إلى سقوط ضحايا من الأبرياء، ويقرر أن هذه الأعمال تشكل انتهاكات جسيمة للقانون الدولي الإنساني والقانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان. ولفتت سعادتها إلى أن القرار يعيد التأكيد على الدعم القوي للسلامة الإقليمية لدول مجلس التعاون والأردن ولسيادتها واستقلالها السياسي، كما يعرب عن التضامن مع هذه الدول وشعوبها، ويطالب المفوض السامي لحقوق الإنسان بتقديم إحاطة شفوية إلى المجلس حول تداعيات هذه الهجمات على حقوق الإنسان. وأشارت سعادتها إلى اعتزاز دولة قطر، بوصفها عضوا في مجلس حقوق الإنسان للفترة 2025-2027، بالمشاركة الفاعلة في هذا الجهد الدبلوماسي الجماعي، مجددة إدانة دولة قطر الشديدة للهجمات الإيرانية غير المبررة، ومؤكدة على حقها الكامل في الدفاع عن سيادتها وحماية أمنها ومصالحها الوطنية وفقا للمادة (51) من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة. #الخارجية_القطرية

Statement | Qatar Condemns, Denounces Blatant Iranian Attack on Ras Laffan Industrial City Doha | March 18, 2026 The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Iranian attack targeting Ras Laffan Industrial City, which caused fires resulting in significant damage to the facility. It describes the attack as a dangerous escalation, a flagrant violation of state sovereignty, and a direct threat to its national security and regional stability. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that despite Qatar's policy of distancing itself from this war since its outset and its commitment to avoiding any escalation, the Iranian side continues to target it and neighboring countries in an irresponsible approach that undermines regional security and threatens international peace. The ministry stresses that Qatar has repeatedly called for the need to refrain from targeting civilian and energy facilities, including within the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in order to preserve the resources of the region's peoples and safeguard international peace and security. However, the Iranian side continues its escalatory policies that are pushing the region toward the brink and drawing countries not party to this crisis into the conflict zone. The ministry affirms that this attack constitutes a violation of UN Security Council Resolution No. (2817), renewing its call on the Council to assume its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security and to take the necessary measures to stop these serious violations and deter their perpetrators. The ministry also reiterates that the State of Qatar reserves its right to respond in accordance with Article (51) of the United Nations Charter and the right to self-defense as guaranteed by international law, stressing that it will not hesitate to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens and residents. #MOFAQatar

Qatar Declares Iranian Embassy Military, Security Attaches "Persona Non Grata" Doha | March 18, 2026 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered an official note to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State, stating that Qatar considers both the military attache and the security attache at the embassy, in addition to the staff of the two attache offices "persona non grata", and requests that they leave the country within a maximum period of (24) hours. This came during a meeting held Wednesday between HE Director of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim Yousif Fakhro, and HE Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State Ali Salehabadi. The ministry explained that this decision comes in response to repeated Iranian targeting and the blatant aggression against the State of Qatar, which violated its sovereignty and security, in a flagrant breach of the principles of international law, United Nations Security Council Resolution No. (2817), and the principles of good neighborliness. The ministry stressed that the continuation of this hostile approach by the Iranian side will be met with additional measures by the State of Qatar, in a manner that ensures the protection of its sovereignty, security, and national interests.
