@blisswords @g_gosden @Phil_Jones01 I am not as much of a supporter as you, but I think he is in the right here. Furthermore, I don't hold with the unconditional scorn that is heaped on him daily. He inherited an appalling mess from the previous administration. We should not underestimate the difficulty of his job.

@g_gosden @Phil_Jones01 I'm proud of our PM, Keir Starmer. Intelligent, thinks for himself, highly trained and experienced he makes good decisions. He works like no other.

There are moments in history that may seem insignificant at the time but a British PM standing up to an American president is going to be one of those moments that historians will write about long into the future.

@JenniferEValent There are far too many people who think that political elections are an opportunity usher in some sort of saviour. Not all idolatry involves inanimate statues.

The sheer arrogance of false prophets never ceases to amaze me. The return of Christ is not their affair. It’s never “off the table” nor determined by any human actions. Yet, they continue to act as though they can manipulate God’s will. How I wish they had no audience. And yet…

No system and no leader can satisfy the human soul. The well from which we drink should not be a captivating preacher or a certain kind of worship experience. Nothing and no one can represent God accurately except by a likeness to Jesus Christ.

@JenniferEValent I've always been very fond of this hymn. The second verse, which begins (as I'm sure you know) 'The Lord is never far away, but, through all grief distressing, an ever present help and stay...' has always struck me as greatly reassuring.
