@Quicksilver2D YES!!! This is a point I wish I could drill into people’s heads. Mon and Bail CHOSE to join the fight. They are people with money and resources who took a moral stand. Saw NEVER GOT A CHOICE. He was a child displaced by war and violence. He was born into it.

@LuciaLobosvilla I do appreciate Luthen too and like him alot especially his relationship with Saw but the double standard is so infuriating

@Quicksilver2D I actually appreciate Luthen as a character as well. And it’s realistic for me that he and Saw don’t see eye to eye. But I am frustrated by the double standard between him and Saw in the fandom. Luthen gave up privilege to fight. Saw was forced into the fight since childhood.

@LuciaLobosvilla Saw isn't like characters like Bail and Mon who ofc have seen their share of violence but not to the extent of Saw, they aren't soilders in shoot outs or brawls for their lives every other day like Saw, he's actually on the front lines

@Quicksilver2D Absolutely! Or when they try to paint him as morally worse than other grey characters like Luthen because “well he’s a drug addict”. It’s completely dishonest. And I think the real motivation is a combination of racism (because that plays a part) and fear of what his character

@Quicksilver2D I am an Anakin fan (pre becoming Vader. The vulnerable and exploited child and young man he was before he fell), but I am also a Saw Guerrra defender. Despite our differences, I think we agree on one major point. Fandom hates imperfect victims more than they hate actual abusers.
