There doesn't seem to be a prediction market for Gov. Stitt's announcement today. Not that I have any inside information that would make me rich. But there was a prediction market for words he would use in his State of the State speech. More than $650,000 was wagered.

There are nearly 40 bills on today's Senate agenda, almost 60 on the House agenda. Thursday is the deadline for bills and joint resolutions to be heard in their chamber of origin.

Good morning, early birds! Gov. Kevin Stitt is scheduled to announce his interim US Senate appointee during an 830 am press conference today. The Senate confirmed Sen. Markwayne Mullin as President Donald Trump's new secretary of homeland security Monday evening.

The vote was 54-45. There were cheers and applause on the Senate floor. US Sen. James Lankford was the presiding officer when the vote was announced.

Spring starts Friday but it will feel like summer. Coincidentally, several of the record highs for the next few days date back to 1907, the year Oklahoma became a state. I'm sure that will make us all feel better when we get in our hot cars.....

The hearing will be broadcast and streamed on C-SPAN 2. I suspect some of the cable news channels will carry portions of the hearing, as well.
