Reports indicate Trump's desperation to end the Iran War mess, and his imminent plan to launch a ground invasion alongwith a deadly bombing attack ... to try and bring Iran to the negotiating table. Launchpad for attacks likely to be Israel (and not GCCs). Iran meanwhile is fully prepared to launch a response that causes maximum damage. Hypersonics may come into action against warships and ACs. A very dark second chapter emerging.

A government and a Navy that did not have the courage to react when the US Navy sunk IRIS Dena barely 162 nautical miles off India's mainland would "project great Naval power" and "choke" Malacca Straits from Nicobar? 🤣🤣🤣

A high-voltage courtroom showdown at the Supreme Court of India ⚖️ Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi makes it clear: “There is no need to arrest Pawan Khera.” What started as a bail plea has now turned into a larger battle over state power vs personal liberty. With sharp remarks, “constitutional cowboy” jibes, and references to B. R. Ambedkar, the hearing questions whether arrest is justice—or overreach. Is this law taking its course, or power crossing the line? The verdict could redefine anticipatory bail and the limits of state action. @DrAMSinghvi #supremecourtofindia #legalnews #latestnews #judiciary

Khamenei's latest message is essentially a declaration of Iranian victory, while suggesting that the “humiliating defeat" of the US marks a new era geopolitically, both for the region and globally. While this will be seen as a major exaggeration, it could turn out to be a major inflection point geopolitically, certainly for the region in which Iran's position has become significantly strengthened strategically, while the US security umbrella is increasingly seen as ineffective and unreliable, but also globally as American global primacy cannot be sustained if much weaker powers can not only deny the US victories, but also startegically defeat it by relying on cheaper technology, assymetric tactics, and the use of geography. But none of this will come to pass if Iran loses the peace - meaning, it needs to negotiate a new regional order that is accepted by regional powers and not contested. (Iran's current gains remain effectively contested as we speak). That will not be done militarily, but diplomatically. And that phase has not even properly begun yet.

Indian political commentator Sanjaya Baru has claimed that during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Israel just days before the outbreak of the Iran war , Israeli officials briefed him on an impending regime change operation targeting Iran. According to the account, New Delhi even began internal preparations for a post-Islamic Republic scenario in Iran. This reportedly explains India's initial five-day silence following the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. This episode, seen by critics as India’s betrayal of a longstanding partner and fellow member of both the SCO and BRICS, serves as a cautionary tale for Russia, China, and Global South leaders such as those in Brazil and South Africa: they should exercise greater caution in their dealings with India, which appears closely aligned with Western and Israeli strategic objectives. #indiabetrayediran

A man older than independent India had to fight with the Election commission of India in court to cast his vote.
The Times Of India@timesofindia

#SkIbrahim, the 104-year-old who has cast his vote in every election since #Independence, kept his date with democracy on Wednesday as well. However, the #EC had initially placed his name under adjudication on the final voters' list, published on Feb 28, because of a "discrepancy" in his name — it appeared as Sk Ibrahim on the 2002 voters' list and Ibrahim Sk on the 2025 roll. ⭕️ REPORT | Ali al-Samoudi, 59, one of the most prominent Palestinian journalists in the West Bank, was released Thursday after enduring a year in Israel’s torture prisons, without charge or trial, Quds News reported. He said he lost half his body weight—dropping from 120 kg to 60—describing Israeli prisons as a “graveyard for the living.” Al-Samoudi was initially held for 80 hours in a military barracks in Jenin, handcuffed and blindfolded, without water, food, or medicine, before being severely beaten during his transfer to Megiddo prison, where his glasses were broken and his clothes confiscated. He suffered stomach, colon, head, and eye pain, urinary tract infections, and loss of consciousness throughout his detention, according to lawyers. He said to his lawyer: “They informed me that I am being detained because I am a journalist and correspondent for Al Jazeera and Al-Quds newspaper. We will not bring charges against you related to your journalistic work, lest there be an international backlash and scandal for Israel.” The Israeli military initially accused al-Samoudi of transferring funds to the armed resistance group Palestinian Islamic Jihad, but provided no evidence — and military prosecutors never leveled that accusation in court. Al-Samoudi was present at the scene and wounded in May 2022 when an Israeli sniper killed Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh during a raid on Jenin refugee camp. Another journalist present at Abu Akleh’s killing, Mujahed al-Saadi — a Drop Site News contributor — remains in Israeli detention. In the early hours of September 19, 2024, Israeli special forces broke down his door, beat him with rifle butts and fists, and beat his wife, before dragging him barefoot from his home in front of his three young children. He has had his administrative detention repeatedly extended and has been held at Al-Naqab prison in the Negev desert, notorious for systematic torture, medical neglect, and starvation policies. 🎥 Video by Quds News, translated by Drop Site.

53 people died in the Delhi riots. It happened weeks after a Union Minister led “Goli Maaro Saalon Ko” chants at a rally targeting CAA protesters. Today, the Supreme Court says; not an offence. Let that land for a second. Article 19(2) of our Constitution EXPLICITLY lists “incitement to an offence” as a valid ground to restrict speech. IPC 153A exists for this exact scenario; promoting enmity between communities. The Election Commission itself banned Thakur from campaigning for the same speech. But the Court ruled the speeches were “not directed at any specific community.” Shaheen Bagh; a protest led overwhelmingly by Muslim citizens against the CAA; was the explicit target that night. The video is public. The crowd response is on record. I’m not questioning the judiciary’s integrity. I’m asking a constitutional question every Indian must ask: If “Shoot the traitors” at a minority protest; weeks before a riot; doesn’t meet the bar of hate speech… what does? Because this judgment doesn’t just close a case. It sets a precedent; that tomorrow, whoever comes for your community, your protests, your voice, can use April 2026 as their legal shield. The Constitution is only as strong as the courage to apply it equally.

Bareilly Police first claimed that Maulana Tousif Raza Mazhari “fell from the window.” After I called it out, the story has now shifted. Suddenly, he was sitting near the gate. So which version is the public supposed to believe? Because the problem isn’t just the inconsistency. It’s what these changing explanations are trying to sidestep. A recorded call where the victim himself says he is being beaten. A wife who says she witnessed the assault live on video. First it was the window. Now it is the gate. Meanwhile, the most crucial evidence continues to be conveniently ignored. If the facts are clear, why do the explanations keep changing?
Meer Faisal tweet media
Meer Faisal@meerfaisal001

The statement issued by Bareilly Police raises serious and unavoidable questions. According to Bareilly Police, Maulana Tousif Raza Mazhari died after dozing off near a train window and falling due to extreme heat. From a train window? Seriously? This explanation appears difficult to reconcile with the details emerging from the victim’s final moments. In the call recording, he is clearly heard saying he was being beaten by intoxicated individuals, abused, and asking his wife to call the police for help. This is not second-hand information. This is the victim himself describing an ongoing assault in real time. There is also the testimony of his wife, who has stated that she witnessed the assault over a video call. She claims she saw him being slapped, and beaten while he pleaded for help. How does this crucial account fit into the conclusion that there was no evidence of assault? If the findings are being drawn “at first glance,” then it becomes even more important not to ignore direct evidence and eyewitness testimony, especially when it comes from the victim and someone who claims to have seen the incident live. This is not about sensationalism or spreading rumours. It is about ensuring that all evidence, including the call recording and the wife’s account, is properly examined before arriving at conclusions. A fair and transparent investigation that addresses these serious inconsistencies is essential to establish the truth and uphold public confidence.
