@REALBOOSTER He frowned as he reached for his beer. "Pronouncing what wrong?"

@BlueBeetleTK Concerned but relieved his friend was confiding in him, Mike made himself comfortable and had some beer. He was worried for Ted’s troubles. He helped himself to some beer nuts. “By the by, you’re pronouncing it wrong.”

@REALBOOSTER - with my absences. I can understand that one as being held hostage on Apokolips, being trapped beneath Bialya, and being on the last line of defense against Warworld doesn't really warrant PTO."

@BlueBeetleTK Mike swallowed and gave a nod. “Sorry, sure, sure.” He stared at the beer that had been placed before him, quietly watching the bubbles within the glass rise to the top. Maybe he shouldn’t have mentioned the gargling…

@REALBOOSTER As their order arrived, Ted turned, a hand out. "Mike, Mike," he began. "I don't care. I don't care about the gargling. I do hope you get your residuals and all, but I can't right now, I've had a shit day, I'm pissed off. I just want a beer and some... just some time to think."

@REALBOOSTER He drained the contents of the first beer, looked out the window.

@BlueBeetleTK “Well, I was in Japan for a business opportunity, but residuals might take a while to reach me. That’s okay, they’ll come.” Mike leaned against the bar. “You know, in Japan the people gargle.”

@REALBOOSTER Ted stared at him, and with a sign ordered a couple of beers. “I thought you had some money coming in?”

@BlueBeetleTK “Can I have one, too? Bit strapped for cash right now.”

@REALBOOSTER Snapped out of his dark thoughts, Ted looked around. He was pleased to see his good friend! “Yeah, that’ll be great!”

Mike walked into his local deli, a copy of the @MetropolisEagle under his arm. "Let me get a regular coffee and a BEC, SPK on a roll?" He nodded and sat at the counter. Trying to pretend to have a normal life. That's how things were these days.

@Skeetsky Booster sat up, hair a mess, and pointed at the cereal box on the counter. "Breakfast of champions. Didn't you see me?"

@REALBOOSTER I would also note you have consumed less than three hundred calories in the past twenty-four hours. Your heroic output will suffer if you continue this trajectory.

@Skeetsky Booster cracked one eye open, groaned, and pulled a cushion over his face. "Congratulations, Skeets. You found a way to make oversleeping feel like homework."

@REALBOOSTER Good morning, sir. You have exceeded your average sleep cycle by forty-two minutes.
