She was young, beautiful, and the last living heir to the throne. Why wouldn't two brothers fight to influence her? After an unplanned trip to the doctor’s office, Sevenah Williams discovers that her ancestry is not exactly human. This shocking news puts her on a course to find out the truth about her birth parents and a tragic past that placed her in hiding as a toddler. Eventually, she takes on her birth name―Eena―and accepts her birthright as the only living heir to the throne of Harrowbeth. But this privilege comes with a price. She learns this during the painful process of physically joining with an heirloom necklace known as the dragon’s soul. From that point on, Queen Eena slowly uncovers powers granted her by the necklace, giving her the ability to manipulate energy—a gift that comes in handy when she faces enemies who wish to see her royal line eliminated. Eena must fight alongside new friends including Derian, the captain of the Kemeniroc; Kira, a Mishmorat with might and spunk; Shanks and his crew of giant Viiduns; and Ian, her best friend and sworn protector. Her greatest challenges, however, turn out to be personal: learning to love, to trust, and to handle adult problems when she simply longs to remain a carefree, high school senior from Earth with no bigger decisions than what to wear to prom. “Such beauty lying there, going to waste. It’s so sad. Wouldn’t you agree, Amora?” Eena was still searching for the source of the voice, uncertain where to look. “Tell me where you are.” “I’m right in front of you.” Ishtura murmured sullenly as she described herself. “I’m the sleeping angel with dark curls and perfect alabaster skin. My emerald eyes, when I could open them, seduced many hearts, Amora. Oh, oh, how I miss those adoring looks from your mortal men!” “I’m not Amora. My name is Eena.” There was a loud, creepy cackle that caused a shiver to run down the young Sha’s spine. She backed against a wall, seeking a sense of safety. Out of nowhere, a ghostly figure materialized. The floating form was hideous to behold and yet in its distorted features a resemblance existed to one of the preserved beauties. The ghost could easily have been an ugly sister of the stunning brunette preserved in stone. It had to be Ishtura’s spirit. ― Richelle E. Eena yawned again, covering her mouth with embarrassment. “I’m sorry,” she giggled, “I can’t seem to help myself.” “Maybe you should get some sleep.” “I am exhausted.” “I can stay with you until you fall asleep,” Derian offered, moving in closer. She backed against the door where he placed his hands on the wood on either side of her. “You’d be breaking our ground rules.” He shook his head. “The rule was I couldn’t sleep in your quarters. I wouldn’t be sleeping.” She let out a single laugh. “You would fall asleep eventually.” “Well then, who would be awake to know?” “I would… the moment you started snoring!” He chuckled at the likely truth of her prediction. “Alright, I give up. But I won’t send you to bed without your ten kisses.” His right hand fell from the door to gently nudge her chin. He gazed into her hazel eyes, seeing both weariness and a tender invitation to move in closer. ― Richelle E. Sweet Silence by R.E. Goodrich @all_poetry allpoetry.com/18998218 The sweetest melody that plays on starry nights and wintry days, most soothing to my listening ears and calming to beleaguering fears, I call a symphony on air― the song of sweet, still silence rare.

"Eena stared at her hologram image. Ever since Derian had won his wager, she found herself mulling over the situation with great concern, wishing she had never agreed to the stupid deal in the first place." ― R.E.Goodrich, "Eena, The Return of a Queen" RichelleGoodrich.com
