@TheChadWithrow Vrabel wanted out. He also was horse shit the last 3 years with us. What is so hard to comprehend? The Pats just hit their ceiling with a cakewalk Super Bowl run and still got smashed. They won’t come close again with Vrabel at the helm.

Could not believe the Patriots didn’t even try hire Ben a Johnson last year. I said it so many times prior to the hiring—when you have one of best young QBs in the game who can run, run and throw, or stay in pocket to throw— then you do whatever it takes to hire the rising OC genius as your HC. Did no one explain to Kraft the power the Patriots would have had for years if they stopped relying entirely on an OC to run their offense. There are few, if any available OCs smart enough to run an offense that incorporates all of Maye’s potential. And any great OC will get hired as an OC. That is why Ben Johnson is a needle in a haystack.

But why hasn’t the actual embarrassment of the Super Bowl been analyzed objectively more? Vrabel and his Dark Passenger OC had two weeks to prepare for Seattle. Whatever “game plan” they started with struggled on both sides of the ball and they both froze—neither of them can adjust to save their lives. And to continue to blame Campbell totally misses the point entirely—Vrabel and the Dark Passenger knew he was coming off an injury and had missed a ton of games in addition to his baseline “limitations”—> they needed to maybe sub him out or something? Vrabel doesn’t have a creative, strategic brain.

I think all this by Vrabel and the Patriots is so performative. The first two days he was locked in but just decided day 3 was the day he had to get out of there urgently? He could of did whatever he was doing today Monday.
