Thrilled to be a @FulbrightAUS scholar! My project hosted by @michaelwdickey @PittCSD & #VAPittsburgh will examine how socioeconomic status impacts healthcare access & outcomes for people with #aphasia. Grateful for the support of many as I embark on this incredible opportunity!

👏 Congratulations to #UQ’s four @FulbrightAUS scholars who will travel to the US to advance their research across a range of global issues, including a new way to deliver brain cancer treatment and how socioeconomic status impacts health care access. uq.au/swt

Just last week I was telling clinicians who just submitted their first manuscript to a journal that it can be a long wait with no guaranteed outcome. Then this example. Feeling for my fellow co-authors and lead author @DanielleHitch
Danielle Hitch@DanielleHitch

Just receive from journal that took 12 months for first review. "Beautifully written, well embedded in relevant literature. Some findings (but not all) confirm existing research, so not entirely novel. Reject. Hope this doesn't put you off submitting to us again"

Power differentials bn clinicians&researchers👇 @oliviaaking @RPClapham @DanielleHitch I took a role to build research capacity w #AlliedHealth clinicians: one of my 1st actions was to address 'research as an elite activity' The story of ur own humble beginnings/mistakes helps

@LisaM_nutrition The MIS report has some really interesting ideas for funders. Recommend the read.

For female scientists, productivity can decrease after having children. The impact of parenthood needs to be recognised more in funding applications nature.com/articles/d4158…

The Age investigation into AHPRA is really confronting - we have to do better than this. "A nursing student reported an alleged rape. It ended her career" theage.com.au/national/a-nur…
