هيئة الطرق و المواصلات في الشارقة

في إطار أعمال تطوير شارع الإمارات، نفذت هيئة الطرق والمواصلات في الشارقة، بالتعاون مع وزارة الطاقة والبنية التحتية والقيادة العامة لشرطة الشارقة، مجموعة من الإجراءات التنظيمية الخاصة بحركة الشاحنات، بما يسهم في تعزيز انسيابية الحركة المرورية ورفع مستوى السلامة على الطريق. وشملت الإجراءات منع مرور الشاحنات عبر نفق الرحمانية، وتحويل حركة الشاحنات القادمة من إمارة عجمان عبر نفق الزبير للمركبات المتجهة إلى منطقة الصجعة الصناعية، إلى جانب استحداث حارة مرورية إضافية على المسرب الحر للمركبات المتجهة إلى منطقة الزبير الزراعية، وإنشاء مدخل محلي مباشر إلى منطقة الزبير السكنية من شارع الإمارات. كما تم تنظيم حركة الشاحنات الخارجة من منطقة الصجعة والمتجهة إلى إمارة دبي عبر النفق المخصص، وذلك في إطار الجهود الرامية إلى تطوير شبكة الطرق ورفع كفاءة الحركة المرورية في المنطقة. وسيبدأ تطبيق هذه الإجراءات اعتباراً من يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 23 يونيو 2026. وتدعو الهيئة مستخدمي الطريق إلى الالتزام باللوحات الإرشادية والتعليمات المرورية حفاظاً على سلامة الجميع. In line with the Emirates Road development works, the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and Sharjah Police General Headquarters, has implemented a set of regulatory measures for truck traffic aimed at enhancing traffic flow and improving road safety. The measures include prohibiting trucks from passing through Al Rahmaniya Tunnel, redirecting trucks coming from the Emirate of Ajman through Al Zubair Tunnel towards Al Sajaa Industrial Area, introducing an additional traffic lane on the free-flow slip road for vehicles heading to Al Zubair Agricultural Area, and creating a direct local access road from Emirates Road to Al Zubair Residential Area. In addition, truck traffic exiting Al Sajaa Area and heading towards the Emirate of Dubai has been organized through the designated tunnel, as part of ongoing efforts to develop the road network and improve traffic efficiency in the area. These measures will come into effect on Tuesday, 23 June 2026. The Authority urges all road users to follow traffic signs and instructions to ensure the safety of all road users.

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority continues to implement its development projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the road network and improving traffic flow through the upgrade of Imran Bin Turaim Roundabout and Ahmed Bin Hadeed Roundabout, converting them into signalized intersections. Traffic diversions and partial closures at both roundabouts will commence on Sunday, 21 June 2026, as part of the Authority’s strategic plan to develop roundabouts across the Emirate and implement sustainable traffic solutions that help reduce congestion and improve road safety. The project forms part of a package of development initiatives being undertaken by the Authority to enhance infrastructure and improve the efficiency of the road network, supporting urban and economic growth and further enhancing the quality of life in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority announces a temporary closure of a section of Martyr Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Huwaiden Street in Al Dhaid City as part of infrastructure development works aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the road network and improving traffic flow. The road closure and traffic diversion will be implemented starting on Friday, 19/06/2026, and will continue until Sunday, 16/08/2026, in accordance with the approved alternative routes illustrated in the attached map. The road will be reopened to traffic on Monday, 17/08/2026. The Authority urges road users to adhere to the approved traffic diversions, use the designated alternative routes, and follow directional signage and traffic safety instructions to ensure their safety and maintain smooth traffic flow.

This achievement reflects the Authority’s commitment to developing a sustainable transportation system that contributes to reducing environmental impact and enhancing service efficiency, in support of sustainable development goals and the Emirate of Sharjah’s vision for a more sustainable future.

More than 225,000 passengers used bus services during the Eid Al Adha holiday, reflecting the efficiency of Sharjah’s transport network and its readiness to meet the growing mobility needs of residents and visitors. The project aims to enhance the efficiency of the road network and improve traffic flow across the Emirate. Under the traffic diversion plan, vehicles heading towards Dubai and Al Nahda Bridge will be redirected via Al Corniche Street. In addition, vehicles coming from Al Nahda Bridge towards Sharjah will be diverted to the new Al Taawun Street, in accordance with the approved alternative routes illustrated in the attached map. The traffic diversion will come into effect on Saturday, 13/06/2026.
