The solution is to always provide a compare function when sorting numeric arrays.

JS does something unexpected if you run sort on an array of numbers. Array#sort() casts the array elements to strings then compares based on their UTF-16 code units. In other words, it sorts alphabetically by the first character, then the second, etc.

As promised, here is a link to my slide deck from my presentation "Digging ourselves out of code debt". docs.google.com/presentation/d… Thank you to all who attended! I was so inspired by the women at #CONNECTRecharge and the warm and supportive community 🥰🤗

So excited to be presenting on addressing code debt at #CONNECTRecharge in a few hours! Speaking at a conference has been a goal of mine for many years, and I have slowly been concurring my fear of public speaking working towards this point.

I discovered that @babeljs has a theme song the tune of Hallelujah and I am so here for it: youtube.com/watch?v=40abpe… "Generators, const and let I used them all without regret And it’s a terse and a destructured Hallelujah"

@BrettEast When using the typescript-operations plugin the TS type generated for a query will only include the fields that the qraphql query requested. In the example repo, the GetToysUnderPriceQuery type only includes the fields of DogToy that the getToysUnderPrice query included.

@RachelWebDev Hi Rachel, I just watched you codegen video with contentful on youtube youtube.com/watch?v=vU6G7c…, but was wondering if there was a way to get the generated type for just a particular query? If for example, I didn't want all the fields back, can I get just that type?

@ParissAthena I work remote and have never met my coworkers. Having a camera on helps to put a face and personality to a voice. I don’t know how we would bond as a team without video and I would have felt way more isolated during COVID without the humanizing aspect of video calls vs audio only

@WomenWhoCode 1. Remind yourself you were hired for a reason! They saw something in you. 2. Over-communicate and be honest about what your strengths are and what you want to learn. No one expects you to know everything. 3. Read blogs of similar situations. You aren’t alone in this feeling

Github1s is really nice. Just add "1s" after "github" when viewing code on github.com and VS Code loads up instantly:

@tai_leclaire For all of you claiming that it is not racist, the chiefs fans dress in culturally appropriated attire that encourages a false narrative of who and what native Americans were and are. This video can say it better than I can though: youtu.be/JjeKlog4QfE

@brad_frost Smart blinds in the bedroom so I can set them to slowly open around the time I need to wake up. And smart watering system in the yard so I can schedule watering plants and turn it off when it rains.

@WomenWhoCode 21. I worked in the phone room of UC Davis’ Financial aid office when I got an opportunity to help code in ASP.NET on their internal tools.
